Stephanie snapped at the man with open hostility, and I saw the guards already moving to remove him. “Wait. I’ll answer him.” Lorenzo lifted a hand, signaling for them not to drag out the kamikaze journalist. “No, I’m not afraid of being criticized. In fact, I challenge anyone to come here and tell me to my face that my Luna is worth less because she’s an Omega. "Tell me what really happened." Dominic's eyes dropped, his gaze fixed on the floor. "It was a long time ago," he said, his voice barely audible. "I was young, stupid. I didn't know what I was doing." I leaned forward, my heart racing with anticipation. "What did you do?" I asked, my voice firm. Dominic's eyes flashed, his gaze locking onto mine. "I killed him," he said, his voice barely above a whisper. "I killed the man who was sleeping with my fiancée."

“If I had told you the truth from the beginning, would you have believed me? I had no answer to that. Amelia folded her arms, her eyes bright. “Where is Jordan now?” Dominic’s expression did not shift. “Safe. For now. But not for long.” Frustration clawed at the inside of my chest. “Then, show us where he is so we can get him back.” Dominic hesitated, for the first time, I saw something flicker in his eyes. He looked toward the door again and then lowered his voice even further. “I’ve got men hiding him, but it will not stay forever. Moretti’s reach is too broad, his resources infinite. If we don’t act soon, he will find Jordan, and when he finds him, he won’t give him any room for recovery.

“Love already? How long has it been, Isa?” Isadora shook her head. “A month.” “Wow, just wow. Who is this mystery man, and why won’t you tell me his name?” Isadora looked down briefly, and then glanced around the empty reception area. “His name’s Dominic and it’s not that I don’t trust you, but he’s sort of well known.” “Well known how? There are at least five thousand men in this city with the name Dominic.” Isadora took a deep breath, and looked her friend in the eye. “Dominic Rose Vittori.”
