The moment the thick wooden doors slammed behind me, I leaned against the cool stone wall, trying to breathe through the storm inside me. But it didn’t help. Mabel focused her attention on the reports as she wanted them to be perfect so the crazy man would not have a reason to complain that she was incompetent. Just as she was almost done, the door to Christian’s office opened and the man who had gone into it minutes ago came out. Mabel immediately stood up to greet him as a courtesy since he seemed to be important. “No, sit down, Miss Pearson,” Dorian said with his signature smile. The smile that looked harmless but at the same time was the last thing some saw before he killed them. "Let me formally introduce myself. I'm Dorian Romero, Christian’s brother and the COO." Dorian extended his hand and Mabel accepted it with a smile.

"I’ll ask again. Who the hell are you?" The man smirked, unfazed. "My name is Dorian Vale. And like it or not, I’m your best shot at surviving what’s about to happen.” Mark scoffed, arms crossed. I didn't know what I was expecting but when Dominic opened the laptop and showed me a mug shot, my eyes widened. He looked to be in his late twenties, sporting a dark buzz cut and a neatly trimmed beard. He had a black eyebrow piercing and I could see the tattoos sneaking up his neck stopping just below his jawline. Lucas was smirking with his head tilted up slightly, almost mockingly and that alone told me the man feared no one. "Holy shit, he's fine." I blurted without thinking. The laptop was slammed closed and I jumped. Yurik let out a loud laugh and shook his head.
