“Who told you that, Mackenzie?” My neck hurts from watching up. “Nobody silly. I ask you. Mummy said my daddy is strong and brave. She say he special.” The man kneels down so he’s closer to my height. He looks like he’s trying to see inside my head. “Okay pretty one, my name is Soren.” I put my hand out like Uncle Jax showed me and he takes it. “Nice to er-” I give him a box smile because I forget what- “meet you. I am Mackenzie.”

She went to her locker to drop her books but saw Bethany and the other cheerleaders standing by it. Great! What now? She inwardly groaned "Do you guys mind?" Makaila asked, her expression held utter boredom. "Oh sorry, Makaila. Is this your locker?" Bethany made a pouty face. "You very well know it's mine. Please excuse me." Makaila slightly pushed Bethany away, put her books into her locker and started walking away. "How was last night, Makaila? With the way you were looking this morning it means that unfortunate guy drove you wild and hard in bed." Makaila stopped walking but didn't turn around. A Small crowd had began to gather and even the Jocks were watching.

They left the floor to whistle and cheers Mackayla blushing a bit. A bit later Blake walked up to order food and refill some drinks Mackayla was dancing with Camron "Apple Bottom Jeans" and he was a very good dancer. She watched Blake as he talked to Duncanion a willowy blonde walked behind him and leaned on his back in a suggestive way. "Who's that" Mackayla whispered in his ear Camron glanced over his shoulder. "Merri Cross she was Megan's best friend. She's been after Blake since high school but he doesn't return that feeling obviously. Ohh this ought to be interesting" Carson had risen from his chair.

“That would be a disaster.” The table went silent for a beat. Everyone knew that name. Marcus Winter—cold, ruthless, infamous. Secretaries still whispered about him years later. “Maybe Mackenzie knows,” Amy said suddenly, her eyes locking on her. “She’s his new secretary, after all.” Mackenzie’s breath hitched. The question lodged in her mind. The chicken in her mouth turned dry as ash. She forced herself to swallow, but it felt stuck halfway down. Grabbing her glass, she gulped water, coughing into her hand.

I smirk at him, with me spilling out him being gay at the tip of my tongue if he intends saying anything stupid. He just shakes his head at me and walks away, not before his running his tap of a mouth and yells after his siblings. "You're getting weirder and weirder every day, Max. And Sarah Gwyneth Mckenzie, you look like shit sucked out of the sewer, even your malodor does too. Ew." * * * It's my house I can do what I want to. Are the words playing right in my head the whole time as I join the Mackenzie siblings for breakfast later that morning.

Mackenzie had maneuvered her there. Mackenzie, in contrast, was the life of the party as she leaned between us from the back. She talked about all the boys they knew, rating them according to face, body, sense of humor, hotness, and so on. Kim answered in monosyllables. Mackenzie even said how she thought Nicky was "scrumptious," but promised Kim she'd never do anything with him. It didn't require my special superpower to see that something was going on.

River says before opening her eyes again. McKenzie looks at her and nods “how old would you say Darren looked?” he asks “he looked to be about 17/18” she answers. McKenzie looks solemn “let’s go to my office. I have something to show you” he says putting his arm at the small of his back. “Tom, I need you and Greg in the office now please” he links. “I think his parents might have something to do with what my mother was talking about” River says “let’s get to my office first. To many ears around now” McKenzie tells her.

Drake says. Reid POV As I came into the library, I could tell someone else was already in here. Not realizing it was Drake and Kate, I figured I had caught someone by surprise. Imagine my surprise when I learned who it was. I knew there were a few sparks between the two of them but hadn’t realized they might be considering a hook up. Not that I would judge, Kate deserves some fun and Drake seems like a decent guy. As we each take the books, we start to look through banished wolves back a couple decades. We each come up with three potential prospects and then debate those three down to our top three.

A few seconds of gurgling water echoes and when it stops, Mackenzie reappears through the door with a towel and a small basin of water in her hands. She sets the basin on the bedside table, soaks the towel into it and squeezes the towel to drain the excess water, before gently patting it on the corner of my lips. I jolt and hiss the instant the towel activates the pain I’m unaware is existing. I wonder how swollen and bruised I look. I hope I don’t look worse than that a.sshole. Since that a.sshole infuriating face crosses my mind again. His infuriating attempt to r.ape Mackenzie and his confusing relationship with Mackenzie and her parents also cross my mind.

“It’s thrilling sneaking around.” Mack smirked, but he was hiding his hurt. Who would have thought the cocky and arrogant Mackenzie Craft would find such a soft spot in me? No way would I have ever pictured him being so delicate and sincere. He was more of the bold, no nonsense, jackass that scared everyone else.
