I hurried to put space between us, wiping at my mouth, pushing my hair back, trying to not look exactly like someone who had just been kissed senseless.
Clarissa’s gaze locked on me—cold, cutting, openly disgusted.
“Of course, Vivian it is, right?” Her smile widened, dripping venom. “You’ve certainly… made an impression.”
Zane’s voice snapped like a whip. “Clarissa, stop.”
She placed a folder on his desk with unnecessary flair. “Here are the contracts, Zane.”
“Mr. Wilde,” he corrected.
Her jaw tightened.
She threw me one last poisonous look, the kind that promised war, before she left and slammed the door behind her.
