Drake turned and walked over to June. “Drake… It's me, June. June Hanson... Your secretary?” June asked, trying to get Drake to remember something. Drake was silent for a moment, everyone held their breath looking at him. He walked slowly, approaching June who was crying in front of Drake. But suddenly Drake grabbed June by the neck and lifted June's body high into the air. Seeing what was happening, Alarick shot lightning fast towards them and before Drake knew it, Alarick had released June from Drake's grip. The woman coughed afterward, taking in a frantic breath. Drake growled angrily. He then opened his mouth to spit fire at Alarick.

Drake crouched in the second floor hallway, shining his flashlight on the door lock. Avery stood behind him, looking at the keyhole. No scratches. No pry marks. But the bolt was in the wrong position. "Professional job. Picked it." Drake straightened up, his expression grim. "The door was never opened. The alarm didn't trip. Dr. St. Clair, the child is—" Avery didn't wait. She slammed the door open. Dorothea was still asleep, half her face buried in the pillow.

#Dorothy’s POV# The call comes in just as I finish brushing my teeth. I’m still in my robe, hair half-brushed, the morning sun peeking lazily through the villa blinds. I answer it on speaker, leaning against the sink. “Mrs. Hernandez,” Dr. Malik’s voice is clear and calm like usual, but something’s… off. “I wanted to go over your labs from yesterday. Cedrick knocks at the door and a middle-aged woman opens it for them. "Mom, he needs our help!" Cedrick told his mother while holding a glass. "Good evening, ma'am! I'm Dr. Drake Cole." He introduced himself. The glass slipped from the woman's hand and shattered into pieces.

Elena joined him, calling out “let me see my grandpa.” Inside, the sound of the banging made Dr. Zhou Fen freeze. "They’re here," he whispered, his face pale. "Drake, we’ve run out of time. What should we do now?" But he just waved to him to open the door and he continued pacing. You mean I should open… Zhou Fen said. Drake didn't say a word. He stepped forward, his hand snapping around Zhou Fen’s neck in a silent, terrifying grip. "Are you deaf?" he whispered, his eyes cold. He shoved the doctor toward the door and resumed his pacing, his face a mask of indifference.
