"Almost impossible to reach. Took a broken nail and a bruised rib, but... here." Blythe blinked slowly, as if afraid it would vanish if she looked too hard. She reached for it with both hands, her fingers trembling slightly as she cradled the stem like it might bleed if she held it too tight. "You remember I told you about this flower," she said softly. "You called it the ghost bloom," Xavier murmured, stepping closer. "Said it only grows in impossible places. Places where storms split rock and wind howls louder than hope." She nodded, eyes still on the fragile bloom. "The old stories said it only blooms when two fates cross—when something doomed still tries to live."

The plate rack was placed right before the cooker. Dappled sunlight trickled into the kitchen through the window blinds. At the extreme end of the kitchen cabinet were two flower vases filled with blooming jasmines. I had made sure to water them that morning. The kitchen lights shone on the sparkling kitchen tiles of brown and creamy colours.

I clenched my jaw and nodded. “Alright, Your Highness. Get ready.” Hollie stated just as the door slammed open. I turned to find a beaten and battered Xander holding a clear container with blue flowers in it. Reid rushed over and took it from him as he slumped against the wall. My mom and dad hurried over to help him out of the room and into another one. The top halves of the flower’s petals were blue, and the bottom halves were white. An off-white bud connected them in the middle. I watched as Reid removed them from the container and placed them into a beaker, boiling a bit of water.

the doctor flipped through the chart before looking at me — "Mrs. Burke?" I nodded, and he continued. "I'm Dr. Edward Blossom. Your husband's tests indicate he received a very high dose of ketamine." He lifts his gaze and meets mine. My face is blank. Cold. Expressionless. The doctor has a mild and warm smile, probably to calm me down. "I've directed him to undergo a washout procedure to remove the drug from his body, but he'll need to be hospitalized for observation. You'll be able to see him soon."

He opened it one-handed, scanning the pages while I stayed curled against him. I watched his silver eyes move across the text, the crease between his brows deepening as he absorbed the details. “The closest old-growth forest with confirmed noctis bloom is several hundred miles north,” Darien said, flipping through the notes. “Past the Ashford territory. Deep woodland that hasn’t been mapped properly in decades.” He looked up at Keanu. “But that’s nothing for a dragon.”

I swim over to Mae and pull her up to the little space that’s left between the ceiling of the room and the mass of water. “What are you doing, Xander?” “Give me your jacket!” I pull it off her and swim over to the source of the voice. It’s Darius. He takes it from me and we swim to the bottom. I see Xaden dive right after us. The second the hole in the ridgeline between the floor and the wall is clogged, the water stops rising. Darius Raken is still distracted. Xaden comes from behind and breaks his neck. The Founder's body drops to the floor as we swim up for air through the bloody water.

It will be nice to see you look in vain for a cure until your sons and your bloodline slowly wither and cease to exist.” I heard raspy breaths and the sound of something scraping against the back of my head. I almost fell out of my chair as I clutched my chest. Seated on the bed, Xenos was taking in shaky breaths, and a thin coat of sheen was covered on his face. “That was….” I said but could not find the right words to complete the sentence. He wiped his forehead with a kerchief and muttered, “Sad, that was sad. I don’t need to tell you what happened next right?”

After a brief silence, detective Jones broke the silence and asked "what do you think maria?“ “About what?” “This, of course!” detective Jones said increasing his tone. “Calm down partner. Anyways, I think we're dealing with a nasty serial killer that has an obsession with flowers” Maria joked. “It's not just that. But wait, I think am beginning to get the pieces, according to the woman, a white rose represents chastity and purity,now a blood stain on it would mean what? The chastity or purity have been stained and how is that possible?”
