Draco said telling the story. “Both couples, would be able to have children of their own and two new species would be born. Lord Apophis the dragon god and Lord Kanchelsis, the vampire god, were both outraged and both vowed to take revenge. Lord Kanchelsis visited his people and what he saw when he got there made him furious. Two more of his creations had fallen in love one with a dragon and one with a werewolf.” Draco Continued.

“I know he does, Victoria… I mean your mother told me, but they aren’t on good terms, what about him?” “Father said that even though they aren’t on good terms, he’d avenge him if he ever found out that he was dead. Father told me to find him…to tell him…to get his help…he told m~” “W-We…Denae we don’t know how he looks, where he is or what’s his name…we won’t succeed, so just d~” “Draco…his name is Draco, but most people call him merciless, and his pack is located towards the south of here. I came this way to find him, but I ended up finding you. I’m going to find him, I have to find him.”

I inquired, my voice barely above a whisper. Draco's expression shifted, a hint of mischief playing in his gaze. "They are no longer a threat," he said cryptically. "I turned them into reptiles and banished them to the depths of the underworld." A gasp escaped my lips, my astonishment mingled with a touch of trepidation. The power that Draco possessed, the ability to transform and banish his adversaries, both fascinated and frightened me. I had never witnessed such otherworldly magic before, and it made me crave such strength.

The ice in my very veins melted as he grew even taller than he normally was and more muscular, ripping Zephyros's tunic in the process. I staggered backwards and tripped on a branch. I fell backwards on my rump and even the sting was not enough to take my eyes off him. He exhaled and the nearest tree turned to ash immediately. i scrambled backwards on impulse and the branch i had tripped on got caught in his web. He opened his eyes and twin pools of fire peered down at me. I didn't need Luna to tell me i was not looking at Zephyros anymore...no. Not entirely. What stared back at me was the Fire Dragon.

His voice was a low, resonant rumble that seemed to vibrate against the very walls of the room. I spun around, my heart leaping into my throat. Draco didn't come from the bookshelf I had entered through. He emerged from a shadow near the weapon cabinet, his suit jacket discarded, his sleeves rolled up to reveal corded muscles mapped with faint, jagged scars. He looked like the devil himself, eyes dark and unreadable, cutting through the space between us with predatory grace. "Draco," I breathed, my lungs tight. I dropped the object back onto the velvet-lined tray, the clatter sounding like a gunshot in the confined space.

I know she’s both thinking about the safety of the pack and my own exhaustion level. “The police are on their way to meet Scar where Channing found the dead human. And,” I say looking up to glance at the clock on my office wall, “in just about six hours, Leader Bruno will be here to talk to us and Scar’s parents about their experiences with the undead, so we can have some ideas in place for when Scarlett contacts COWS. You know she’ll want you in on that meeting, too.” That’s another great thing about Scarlett — she recognizes the value that the mate brings to the table. Zella, Asher and Lupita aren’t just the mates of myself, Bree and Jacob, granting them the titles of Beta, Gamma and Delta

Even the home Nathan and I had shared as Luna and Alpha of the Moonbeam Pack couldn’t compare to this. A tight knot twisted in my stomach at the thought of Nathan. I pushed the memory of him aside, forcing myself to focus on the present. I followed the sound of voices down the hall and approached a large, open room; the heat of a conversation caught my attention. “You need to stop running from this, Favian!” An older man’s voice said, firm and impatient. “You are the Alpha of the Furbloom Pack. It’s time for you to take a mate.” I stopped in my tracks, my breath catching in my throat. The Furbloom Pack?

From the balcony, the entire court is watching them. Loras is already with Dracos, making sure the riding equipment is in place for the fourth time today. He steps aside when Omar approaches. "I, Omar Dradarian, descendant of the first dragon king, ask you to obey me!" Omar shouts into the air, his voice powerful and clear. Dracos looks at him for a second before howling to the sky. He lets his huge head down and Omar goes closer. The flame erupts from his mouth and for a second, Astrid's heart stops. Next to her, Loras tenses up too.
