This is a dragon book, these gold encasing are made from dragon scales…” he trailed off as he opened the book curiously. He read a few lines and his eyes visibly dilated in shock. Elaina noticed it and urged him impatiently, “What is it? Can you read the strange language?”

Daniel grabs the butcher by the hair, pushing his face into the wooden table. "I suggest you start addressing your king with some respect." Daniels's voice is gruff, coming out almost animalistic. Looking closely at him, I see a glow to his eyes that I have never seen before. Rage is coming off him in waves. I study his demeanor for a moment before it hits me, the glow in his eyes is just like that of a raging dragon. Dragons when upset their eyes take on a deep glow.

I opened it and noticed the printing was only on a few pages it was no longer blank like it was earlier, maybe magic decided I needed to read the red one first. I shrugged as I sat back down and read the four pages that were available. they all basically said that dragons can be born from humans but if they are from an egg that the mother decides when the egg hatches. If they want a dragonkin in the near future it can be done but if they want to wait? well it says mother can keep that egg safe without every worrying if it will spontaneously hatch. I did find a small paragraph on female dragons that said they are celestial beings and the male dragon only has to wish upon a star and his dragon

Now that I knew it wasn’t just a story he created in his head, I noticed more details. The first book didn’t have a female lead in the book like the others did. It told the story of his origins. About how he grew up and before he became the Dragon King. The story also talked about how there was a Legend about the Keeper of the Dragon Stone, which I paid extra attention to. All Dragons are told about the Keeper of the Dragon Stone, as it is the duty of a Dragon to keep the Stone protected. The Dragon Stone holds the entire fate of the Dragons. Should the Keeper of the Dragon Stone die, it would cause all Dragons to die.
