His eyes darkened as they always did when I called him by his title. He pulled me closer and his voice dropped an octave. “Well, what will you name it, your highness?” He asked as his lips skimmed up and down the column of my throat. I tipped my head back to give him more access. My eyes fluttered close as I encircled my arms around his neck. “Hm… how about Mage’s Mate series?” I asked, dazedly because his lips were stoking my arousal as his fingers were slowly unbuttoning my shirt.

"How do you even know about the great book?" Sighing, Luca moved towards the back of the cave. Leaning against the rocky wall, he frowned. "After you were infected with the poison, by all rules you should've died..." Gazing at the fire he continued. "The great book had a connection with you, the same way you do with other Dragons. Before the poison could take your life completely, the Great Book sent her last energy to you..." Snapping his gaze back to me, his face hardened. "She has chosen you to have her energy, to live on in her name and help other riders... To be the saviour of the Dragons."

"My grandmother... was she...?" "Dragon," Xaihuang confirmed with something approaching sympathy. "Shadow affinity, from the look of your manifestations. Probably went dormant during one of the great migrations and never fully awakened again." On the massive display, the real-time data streams showed another surge in DragonCoin activity. Each transaction now created visible ripples across the magical resonance field, like stones thrown across a pond. Ah, why do we so freak out Dr. Ashworth? Sage asked my dragon something wasn’t adding up, and it wasn’t to do with the code, she could feel it.

I thought with a scornful look on my face. "I can't wait to control their feeble mind," Kendra, my dragon, said with an excited look. "For making fun of how I looked." This war had started years ago when I first accidentally found a book titled the first dragons. And then someone helped me to know more about the first dragons, and their history. Everything started with that first book. The book was buried deep in the depth of a library, and that was the only print, I had found out later. The fascination became obsession and the obsession became need.

The King of Dragons stood at the edge of the large plain laid out before him. The field lay barren and wasted as the last patch of dead brown grass was scorched out of existence. Across this field were twelve large pits and in each of these pits were two dragons battling it out with fire, ash, magic, and the will of a warrior.

**This is the second book in the Elemental Dragon series. While it can be read as a standalone book, references will be made to the first book, The Arena. As I step off Tana’s penthouse balcony, I shift, flying away from what I just heard. Tana, the last fire dragon, has been claimed. And by a Lycan no less. I can’t believe she fell to him. She knew he was her mate, but being mated and being claimed are two very different things.

“Don’t I need to pack and…” Waving a dismissive hand she laughs. “That’s what servants are for, Little Sister. Right now this is your job.” The first dragon I face is my nephew, Orion. He is a very unique type of dragon, a combination of fire, sky, and water--a storm dragon. There have been other storm dragons in the past, but currently, he is the only one living in the Celestial Kingdom. “He’s just a boy!” I glare at Ona. “I am not hurting him.”

Hopefully you'll enjoy the next generation of Guardians as much as you enjoyed the first trilogy. Also, if you haven't tried it, I have a book out called The Arena. It's the first in the Elemental Dragons series. It's very different from this world of the Guardians. That book is filled with shifters and, you guessed it, dragons. That series is intended to have four books, one for each dragon.

“Let’s not waste time pretending this is a misunderstanding.” Darion swallows. “You don’t understand what Malrec is offering,” he says hoarsely. I stop directly in front of him. “No,” I reply. “I understand perfectly.” His eyes brighten slightly, as though he believes he has found a sliver of sympathy. “Then you must see reason. Dragons ruling both realms again, restoring our rightful dominance—” My fist strikes him before he finishes the sentence. The crack of bone against flesh echoes sharply through the chamber. Darion slumps forward against the chains, blood spilling from his mouth.
