He had told Aric about his insecurities. The dragon king for whom women yearn longed for his bride who seemed to be the only woman who doesn't want Aidan and she was the only one Aidan wanted. Unlike Lycans, Dragons weren't bound to only have sex with their mates. Dragons have extremely high sex drives but they are extremely loyal. Karen looked at her while calming all raging storms inside his mind and told her in soulless words, “Same can happen with that dragon too. Amelia and the others watched in horror, praying for a swift resolution. As the chaos reached its peak, I knew I had no choice but to transform into my dragon form to protect Amelia and myself. With a burst of power, my human form gave way to the majestic dragon that lay dormant within me.
