Too many for a solo hunter, but the girl chained to the altar in the middle wasn’t going to wait for backup that didn’t exist. She was maybe fourteen, eyes wide, duct tape over her mouth, blood running from ritual cuts on her arms into a silver bowl. The bowl was already black. Shit. The lead vampire (tall, pretty, dead) raised the bowl like a toast. “To the thinning Veil,” he crooned. “To the dragon who will never wake.” Dragon? That word wasn’t in the journal. I stepped into the light, shotgun up. “Wrong fairy tale, asshole.”

I wondered, enjoying the feel of my body and the fresh air. “As you may know, vampire blood has healing properties for werewolves. In times of war, they are very desirable because they can heal wounded men and are easier to control than adult vampires. In the vampire world, stealing offspring was the most serious crime. All werewolves who steal vampire younglings become blood slaves.” He let out a forlorn sigh and then glanced over at me with an odd expression. “The vampire king, Jorah, had a youngling, a daughter stolen by a werewolf many years ago during a war. The king has been searching for her ever since.”

and with that he left her room. "I'll never get exhausted from seeing your face," Ava sighed "What did hell am I doing? I'm not falling for Vador,I'm not falling for the dark lord," and with that she fell asleep. The next morning Vador was seated at the dining table waiting for the maids to bring his food ,not that it was of much use,he needed human blood but had to cope with bags of blood as he was warned in the last council meeting against killing female vampires just to quench his thirst. He had killed over fifty female vampires in a roll.

“We will discuss this later.” She motioned for her soldiers to follow her and headed in the direction of the sounds. When they came upon the large room, the vampires and the werewolf were still bent over while Chloe lay in a heap between them. Verona’s eyes went fiery red at the sight of a half-dozen dragons filling up the room. Her voice was rich with hostility as she hissed, “You dare step foot in Meta territory?” “Spare me,” Myriana said as she set fire to Verona with her breath.

I said, groaning. I had previously schooled everyone coming on dragons so that everyone was aware of why they were heavily sought out by vampires. Their blood was very pure, and the power of it was almost like a drug. The most delicious for a vampire are elemental dragons because their blood acted as an aphrodisiac. “Of course, she is. How would you two like the first taste? You seem to be someone who can appreciate the experience. Her blood and body are being offered up to you first.”

A few months go by, my children grow beautifully, Annabelle an incubus for sure, Damon still just two bumps only, that we believe are horns to be grown. Dracono seems a bit worried about Damon and decides to take him to a special healer without my consent. I find out from Dark what Dracono is doing and I rush to stop him. I arrive at the cottage where the healer is living and barge in so I can take my boy home. The old lady grabs me by my hand and I start having a powerful vision of Damon being the devil himself. So powerful, with gigantic black wings, surrounded by fire, ruling over the kingdom of Minotaurs.

It didn't take long before they started defending themselves against this by trying to control their minds. That was when Draco's genius showed. The dragons acted like they were on the vampires' side until they got very close. That was when the dragons were able to rip the heads off of three vampires at a time. Several vampires tried to take flight, but as soon as they were in the air, a dragon that had been flying overhead would burn them alive in mid-air.

Drake __FLASHBACK__ Two days earlier. “What did you find?” Dad asked. “They were hunters but not human,” I answered. “They were what Drazian has created,” Dray adds. We had caught a few of the creatures and killed the rest. They had come onto our land chasing after something or someone. They are vile creatures. They had been created by a hybrid. He was half-dragon and half-vampire. He has been capturing all rare and powerful supernatural species for years now. His favourite target is the rare and powerful gemstone dragons. He has been capturing other supernatural beings and experimenting with them. He is pure evil

The dragon took a breath in and a larger cloud of smoke puffed out of his nose when he exhaled with a huff. Satisfied with his work, Draven turned to face his men, but his stomach dropped when the same vampires from earlier were approaching his men from behind. The three vampires stared at Draven and the dragon's heart raced. Fire is a dragon's biggest attack, and unfortunately, it doesn't kill vampires. It might hurt like a bitch, and temporarily disfigure them. But after a few feedings, they're as good as new. The shorter vampire approaches and Draven lowers his body, his belly brushes against Harris. The windows on the pack house rattle as the dragon growls at the vampire.

I don't remember having a sacred book with me. Hold on. Could it be the book that I thought belonged to my mom? "It's the book you almost destroyed," he informed me. Oh, maybe that's why he texted me to not tear it up. At that time I was so confused and thought he was a stalker. Little did I know he was actually a blood-sucking demon. Or was he? "Since you're a vampire, do you drink blood?" I asked because from what I know, they're always thirsty for blood and he hasn't shown any sign of that.
