Dragon Wolf Novels & Stories

What is her gift? - We, by virtue of nature, cannot freely communicate with animals, they are afraid of us, - she began to explain, - and werewolves with such a gift not only approach any animals calmly, but also feel their life streams. For example, you can say that your head hurts, show where it hurts, and werewolves with such a gift feel it. They are excellent veterinarians and are highly valued at our fur farms. In our flock, sable, arctic fox, marten, ermine are bred. A very profitable business. I still don't get what's wrong? A wonderful gift, - but I thought to myself that I don’t have a gift at all.

I knew that the wolf was calling to me, inviting me to join it on a journey through the forest. With a sense of excitement and curiosity, I followed the howl, weaving my way through the trees and underbrush. The wolf's presence grew stronger, and soon, I found myself face to face with a majestic white wolf with huge wings. Its eyes were the same icy blue as mine, and there was a profound sense of recognition between us. We communicated not through words, but through a deep understanding that transcended language. The white wolf turned and began to lead me deeper into the forest, and I followed willingly. It was as if we were bound by destiny, embarking on a journey that would reveal the true

The grey wolf sat on it’s hind legs watching as the dwarf staggered to his feet. “Thank you. I understand werewolves and dwarfs have bad history” Lu started, “But I mean well, I really do”. The other wolf pack came hopping around in happiness, digging their teeth into some flesh. Margaret had a guess that it was the dragon bird. Lu's eyes popped out as well. The wolf he was looking at would be of no joke rank if he can shred a dragon bird. The grey wolf, leading the other wolves, disappeared deeper into the forest.

Surprise and alarm rippled through the room. Alpha Kaelen of the Iron-Tooth Pack, a fiercely independent leader from the craggy Western territories, slammed his fist against his thigh. "Dragon-Wolves?! The sky dynasties haven't crossed the veil in five hundred years! They are myths... legends spoken of in ancient northern scrolls!"

My eyes widened in disbelief as my mouth dropped open, "hellhounds!? Like the ones that were created by Hades? God of the Underworld?" Axil nodded gravely, his eyes flashing with pain briefly before he willed it away. I've read this in an old history book when I was about nine years old, I think. Wolves were basically the living version of a hellhound. When a wolf dies, their soul is sent to the underworld. Hades saw the potential in their souls and created his own version, which he called hellhounds.

AUUUUUU. Suddenly, during the little dragon's peaceful day, the figure of a wounded blue wolf appeared in front of the little dragon. The wolf's body was covered in wounds and there was a needle stuck in its left eye. The little dragon didn't really know what was going on, because he had to hear for himself what the blue wolf had to say. The blue wolf respectfully bowed its head to the little dragon, then used telepathy and its voice to tell him what was currently happening outside. "How dare they! Some bandits dared to come and hunt in my territory? How bold!" The little dragon was angry and without saying anything else, immediately disappeared from the spot.

Xylon saw the surprised looks at mention of a Dire Wolf. "One day he came to me with an amazing discovery. He said that Werewolves could possibly carry a dormant Dire Wolf gene that, if turned on, could make our present day species bigger, stronger, more able to survive with humans in a changing world. I let him continue his research, thinking he was looking to the future of our kind. I was wrong. I should have stopped it immediately." He heard the muttering of agreement from the group.

He looked up at me for a moment, then looked back down. "What I had heard moving turned and made a beeline for me. Out on the trail ahead of me stepped the biggest wolf I had ever seen. Its fur was matted and dirty. It had its ears back and its head low as it snarled." Skye closed his eyes as if reliving that day. "Foam coated its jaws."

I will be leaving with my child very soon. The white wolf sees my distress and comes to my aide. She lays at my feet to comfort me. I reach down to touch her head. The dark energy rushes through my body. I feel the hate coming into me and coursing through my veins. The white wolf understands me and my pain.

I ask. He shakes his goliath head. "No, I will share if you are offering. If not, I will be back shortly with my own." "Don't leave me for even a second, dragon. Please join me." If anyone could see us, it would have been the strangest sight. A wolf and dragon sharing a kill. To me, it seemed the most natural thing on earth. Or realm, I guess. We made short work of the doe with Sarn eating the majority after I could no longer stuff myself.
