I thought with a scornful look on my face. "I can't wait to control their feeble mind," Kendra, my dragon, said with an excited look. "For making fun of how I looked." This war had started years ago when I first accidentally found a book titled the first dragons. And then someone helped me to know more about the first dragons, and their history. Everything started with that first book. The book was buried deep in the depth of a library, and that was the only print, I had found out later. The fascination became obsession and the obsession became need.

Kita replied, shaking her head while having her hand palm down on the earth. “What is a dorphan?” “It is a large, heavily set blind burrowing creature. It feeds on anything magical, roots, plants, and sometimes animals. It may have only attacked the scout spell out of a territorial move, they are rare encounters that not many walk away from,” Kita replied, her eyes darting around the clearing quickly, “Our tomes only mentioned the earth breaking open just before they attacked. None of the hunters that survived their ambushes recorded anything that told of lead up to their attacks, so we will be walking across this area without a way to know we are about to do battle.”

I say, turning her face to me. Whatever I was about to say, falls away as a tidal wave of lust blasts through me. I turn to see Cyryl getting up from her nap where she was laying curled up with Bynjym. She hisses at him, then leaps into the air. She’s barely off the ground when Bynjym roars his intent as he, Thyyd, Yttyc, and the other bronzes all leap into the air after her. Cyryl is rising to mate. **This story will continue in The Dragon Rider: Book Two of The Dragon Thief Trilogy.

​I stepped out through the ruined gates and walked down the winding stone road leading away from the valley, the roaring inferno of the Vane estate casting a long, blood-red shadow behind me. But now, upon knowing him, I know I felt jealous or envious of him. I know jealousy won’t help in the kind of job I have. Se7en always say, “Don’t allow jealousy to enter your heart and mind. It will become a monster that will devour and destroy you anytime.” I always tried to follow it though I know I don’t need it before because I’m the best of Dark Knight. But now that Black Dragon arrived, I dunno if I can still obey it. I sighed and glanced at him. *End of Flashback*

I also knew that if anything should happen that would make Azian turn against us, then my efforts would all have been in vain, and I would be the last of the line of the great witches. But as long as their was hope..hope, I would not hesitate to protect him. I nodded, "yes, yes I am sure" I answered looking straight into her dark eyes. She smiled, "well, then we have a lot of work to do then with them, masking their Aurora and training their dragons" I nodded, " good thing my aunt gave you those dragon books, have you read anything of interest pertaining to them?" She thought for a second furrowing her eye brows, "well, I know we need a hell of a large back yard"
