The Beta Killer

The Beta Killer

Jack cackled mischievously, Alissa shook her head, it was by far Jack's favourite holiday and he got way into the spirit. Jack jumped from his seat wriggling his fingers mystically. “Lock up your doors and windows, the ancestors are going to come a knocking! All you tiny pups must hide, or they'll eat your insides!” he yelled jumping from Blake, to Alissa, to Luca. They all laughed at him, “Please say you're going to do it Luca?” he fell to his knees at Luca's side. He gave a wry smile. “Course.” Jack jumped back to his feet and punched the air before returning to his dinner, “You are such an infant.” Blake shook his head towards Jack.

Ejecting the Cuckoo From the Nest

Ejecting the Cuckoo From the Nest

I had had enough of people leeching off of me. The next time I heard about that family was three months later. An ex-classmate contacted me. Sighing, she said, “Jackie, did you hear? Your family got into some trouble.” It turned out that Jon had taken on a lot of jobs to make more money to repay the housing loans. Late one night, he was rushing from one part-time job to another on his electric motorcycle. He was tired, and the road was wet from rain, and he collided with a truck.

The Carrero Heart (series book 2)

The Carrero Heart (series book 2)

I don’t feel the same way around him that he used to make me feel and I know it’s going to take time to get that sort of comfiness and dependency back. “You’re not broken … you just require a different kind of handling, understanding. You’re like a specially shaped puzzle piece that needs the right slot to fit into.” Arrick reaches down and takes my hand, pulling my fingers to his chest and presses my palm over his heart with concentration etched that cutely furrowed brow. His eyes are a soft hazel and he looks content for once. “This slot … A perfect fit.” He smiles, sounding strained, struggling to keep his voice steady, equally emotional, and obviously trying so hard to reassure me that I

Beware the Heart Thief

Beware the Heart Thief

I lay back down, and as I breathed in the lingering scent of his crisp woody cologne, my chronic insomnia suddenly vanished. … Three months later, spring in Canverly arrived with green fields and singing birds. In the backyard's luxury chicken coop, Lucy led her companions to line up in front of the automatic feeder for their meals. Wearing my red-and-green floral-padded jacket, I sat cross-legged on the grass in front of an easel, painting an impressionist piece titled "Flock at Feeding Time." Dressed in a perfectly tailored suit, Oliver crouched beside me with a small notebook in hand and solemnly read aloud his thought report from the night before.

Lost And Found Hearts

Lost And Found Hearts

--- Chapter Fifty Seven The silence in this house felt like an ax that could fall at any moment, heavy and suffocating. The soft ticking of the wall clock reverberated in the room, reminding me of the time running out—and with it, my hope of taking back what has been done. The documents.

The Ultimate Husband

The Ultimate Husband

He tried his best to conceal the panic in his heart. When Jack first arrived at the scene, he was immediately attracted to the stone chest, and at the same time, he saw the texts on it. Jack was once an elite of the Mouse Sect. He had seen many antiques, and he knew many archaic words. However, Jack knew that the person in front of him was a cruel man. He would lose his life the moment he told him the truth. "You don't know?" Donoghue frowned; he could see that Jack was flustered. 'Yeah, this kid must know those words.'

The Black Raven's Heart

The Black Raven's Heart

*BOOM! Aloud thunderclap echoed through the room, startling him. The light outside the window dimmed, and the once bright and cheerful kitchen became shrouded in darkness. Hyde's heart pounded as he looked around, confused and disoriented. In the blink of an eye, everything changed. The comforting sounds of breakfast were replaced by eerie silence and distant, echoing whispers. The table, once filled with delicious food, was now bare, and cold. That, he realized, he found himself back in that night—his most traumatic memory. The sound of heavy rain pounded against the roof, mingling with the distant wail of sirens. Hyde's breath quickened as he stepped towards the door, his footsteps echoing

The Omega's Twin Hybrids

The Omega's Twin Hybrids

I said, to no one in particular. “Oh and feed Butters,” I said, quickly thereafter. “On it, I’m on it babe,” Finch said, not looking up from his phone. Jack darted into my bedroom and when he came back he was holding that damn red clock. It was the source of the noise. I was annoyed and I stomped my foot for good measure. “How does it even work! There are no knobs, no batteries,” I whined, snatching it from him. I was ready to punt it out the window.

The Games of the Heart

The Games of the Heart

Memories of last night flood my mind, bringing a blush to my cheeks as I make my way to the bathroom. The hot shower soothes my aching muscles but does little to ease the ache in my heart. After dressing, I head downstairs, my stomach grumbling. I’d missed breakfast, so I decide to make myself some grilled cheese - the only thing I know how to cook without burning the house down. Before starting, I stop by Aurora’s room to check on her, but she’s not there. I send her a quick text, hoping she’s doing alright after last night’s revelations. My heart clenches at the thought of what she’s going through.

Awesome! This is the second book I’ve read from this author and it is outstanding! Love this family and their story. Wonderful storyline, written well, held my interest, strong characters, not drawn out and just an amazing love story. Adding you to my favorite list author. Will be reading more.

I loved this book. The grammar and English were great. I’ve partly read and quit several books on there that were literally unreadable. I got a little confused on Andrea’s family not knowing Stefano but it was explained later.

When Magic Happens

When Magic Happens

I felt warmth wrap my heart in a soft hug as a weak smile danced on my lips. “Stop bickering you two” my eyes widened as I heard granny’s voice shouting at the two of them. For a few minutes no one said anything. I took a few steps down the stairs while still hiding. I saw granny sitting on the sofa while Kevin and Jack were standing in front of each other head to head. Suddenly, Jack sat down next to granny, ran his fingers through his hair and said calmly: “we have to get the book to destroy that thing before it’s too late”
