Dragonheart Novels & Stories

He was just a twenty-year-old boy in a soot-stained tactical suit, exhausted to the marrow of his bones. I am just a man, Tristan thought, a profound sense of vertigo washing over him. I toppled the strongest fortress in the Western Reach with nothing but a bluff, a flare, and a pirate’s detonator. And her. He turned his head. Saoirse stood by the viewport, the morning sun catching the silver strands of her hair, turning them into threads of spun light. Her red leathers were scuffed, her breathing slow and measured as she gazed out over the harbor. Even standing still, she radiated an aura of untamed power. She was the Dragon. The last of a mythic lineage.

It was a sigil. Round, but malformed. Spilling out into writing I didn’t know, splintered by decay. At the center was a symbol that crawled at something deep in my neck, two dragons, one consuming the other, locked in an endless cycle of blooming thorns. I didn’t know it. But I knew it. Knew it by memory stolen from my bones. “Draven.” His boots were by my side before my boots touched the ground. He didn’t ask what I had discovered. Didn’t need to. He stared.

She whispered to Baekhyun, who was nearby, smiling at her, "She's somewhere far from here, she can't show up right?" Damontry shook her head, staring at the strangers around her, to catch her attention that the people suddenly turned away from the center while some dwarves who were like short bushes appeared bending along the path and the griffin 'half hawk and half lion, with hawk's head and claws and the body of a lion' descended into the carriage. The black glass installed in it, and the strong roar of the place resounds, for everyone to shout, and the sound of applause and shouts rise, as well as the whistling, and Damontry is now almost unconscious.

I. I felt. I gasped as he rolled over, falling against him. What the hell was that? I heard him growl. “Dhagonit .” Suddenly, something hit me hard on the back of the head and then everything went dark. CHAPTER 2 Bronco CORSAIR Friend. Treasure. Dharin. I hit her hard on the back of the head, shock washing over me. My venom should have knocked her out. Should have put her to sleep. Friend. Treasure. Dharin.

“So, she is part demon? One of Dante’s sprogs that slipped through the net?” “No,” Lucas leaned forward to rest his elbows on his knees as a weary sigh escaped him. “Atlas and Amos don’t have wolf spirits remember? Chloe does; Hecate.” “Hecate? What kind of name is that?” “It’s the name of a Greek goddess. As far as we can tell, only the Wolfe line has a wolven spirit with a Greek name. Even Sierra and Alvaro don’t have them. So, how come she has one?” Lucas raised an eyebrow, hazel eyes darkening as the questions piled up. “I think we need to make a call.”

But what I found waiting for me at the gate wasn't half as bad as I thought. Three men stood at the gate, covered from head to toe in a black material I had never seen before. There was a dull sheen to the armour, almost opalescent. A small dragon was embroidered onto the breast of the armour. Only indication that these men were trained killers and not just any men sent by their king. Word had started spreading amongst the Loyalists a few years ago that the Draco Venandi had risen once more. Father had said he would handle them when the time came. Preparations on behalf of Elliana and her safety had been made anyway. I was a princess, but the only humans who knew were the Loyalists and Hadeo

What a lethal weapon a vampire dragon would make for Antoh to have on his side. “He’s trying to turn them, not kill them,” she shouted. “He’s such slime,” Lizzy hissed. “Find the others,” Tristan said. “It’s time I bring out the secret weapon and stop this now.” The battle was so frenzied, Chloe and Lizzy were able to slip past them unnoticed. She stopped long enough to see Tristan transform into dragon state and reign fire on whatever vampire had the misfortune of getting into his path before racing toward the fertility lab. She was grateful the soldiers couldn’t shift into dragon state as she watched them turn into vampires before her very eyes.

But in vain, June could not get up. "Don't push yourself, get some rest June," Alarick said again. “What happened, Alaric? Tell me,” June replied in a weak voice. Tears started to well up in his eyes. “Drake was hit by Altar's arrow. The arrow is poisonous. Drake forced himself to turn into a dragon and fight, it accelerated his poison towards the heart. Finally, he helped us out, got Anna out of your body along with that damn heart. After that he jumped out of the window and disappeared somewhere,” replied Alarick.

The Helm of Awe covered my left shoulder and on my right was Valknut. Yggdrasil was in the middle and flowing from the roots of the tree was a wolf head. On either side of the wolf was a Jericho 9mm, Kiran’s personal touch to my Zeta mark. From the bottom of the roots, down my spine, was a ghost rune designed by Malachi with my name Jericho adorning the top of Yggdrasil. An hour and a half later Marcus was finished and I put my shirt back on. Tonight I would have to undress with every member of the pack present and shift for the first time in my life.
