Drake These last two weeks have been exceedingly quiet. I am not sure if this is a good thing or not. No more female dragons have been kidnapped. Dad told us that a total of eighteen were kidnapped. I guess one tried to escape because her body was found three days after she disappeared. Her body had been drained of blood. I know that it was that sadistic fucker Jyquardini and his creatures. Dad told us that she was the daughter of a head warrior from a clan that shared its border with Alpha Tundra. I know that Reyna wants to go and visit his clan, but it is too dangerous between the weather and those assholes lurking around. The weather here has been just as shitty. I look out the

The watch ticked steadily, and this time, its sound felt like a soft applause for his freedom. Dante began to type again. “Once upon a time, there was a dragon who kidnapped a prince so the prince would forget how to fly. But the dragon forgot that the prince’s wings were not grown in a tower—they were born in the stories his father whispered to him before sleep…”

Corithias changed quickly into his dragon form and came running to see what was happening. “Dragon, I heard the man talking, they are coming for you tomorrow! They plan to kill you if they find you,” she said with tears streaming down her face. He wrapped his good wing around her, comforting her. He thought about what she had suggested about the water loosening up his sore wing. He stood on his back legs, urging her to go with him to the stream. Once they got in the water, he lay back on his back and stretched out his wings, trying to work out the soreness. That was when he saw it, From the depths of the river, it emerged, it wasn’t clear what it was, it could have easily been a sea monster, but Dragomir was not familiar with any of these monsters, he was yet to encounter one. It was very large as it hung high up in the sky looking down on them, black, evil and menacing and that was when he saw it, it spread its equally large wings and descended towards them at a speed peculiar to only one creature. Dragons. He charged towards Raisel as fast as he could and when he got to her, he grabbed her shielding her from the dragon and then his wings grew out from his back, ripping his shirt apart because of their size and sharpened edges. How he would show her the ring and tell her it had always been hers. He even let himself imagine her reaction. Maybe she would be surprised or touched. She would cry, and then forgive him. And then, they could start over. This time, he wouldn't let her suffer even a little. The flight took more than ten hours. He didn't sleep. By the time they landed, his eyes were red from exhaustion and the strain of holding himself together. The plane finally touched down. Oldtown's sky had always been gray. A drizzle drifted down, turning the air damp and icy.

He was probably explaining why the little boy looked and acted rather withdrawn when he woke up and had to meet his grandmother who was just too cuddly and excited to be meeting his grandson for the first time. Aria was on the phone with her mom when they got outside and it seemed like she was arguing with her over something rather than their usual small talks as she kept pacing up and down without paying much attention to the little boy who was busy chasing a colorful dragon fly around the compound. She was still deep into her conversation when she felt Frank's presence beside her. "Where is Daniel?" He whispered at her. Her eyes darted towards the direction where she had seen him last but

Zachary glanced at me. Instead of getting mad, he scrutinized me apathetically. Wynnie, who was beside him, suddenly said, "Mr. Lowe, Yas has shown talent as a pilot since she was young. She got her license when she was 18. At 22, she has already outperformed many experienced pilots. She's made it this far through her own efforts." Wynnie's voice was as gentle as her smile in the photo from 20 years ago.

He jumped as he neared and landed in Johan’s open arms. “You brat! Stop jumping at people like that!” Johan frowned yet tousled the young dragon’s hair fondly. “That’s great, Dagon, now you can keep your wings and tail hidden even when the sun is out!” Xander praised the child.

But it wasn’t until that night, when I looked up the entry for golden winged dragons in the Warner Grand Dictionary, that I noticed a particular line: “Baby dragons may breathe fire uncontrollably.” By the time I finished reading that sentence, Lolo had already been flying around behind me—breathing fire here, breathing fire there, flying around again, breathing fire again… That night, I didn’t sleep at all.
