Candice nodded and walked away toward the elevator, Drake hated to call people so he detested the intercom, he would rather pass on information verbally, that's of course when his assistant wasn't showing up. Drake wandered around the floor and as he walked back, passing by his secretary's desk, his eyes caught a glimpse of a familiar face on a book. He walked over and saw it clearly, Cynthia, he frowned and flipped the book, realizing it was a V&M magazine, he lifted it and saw the cover. Drake's eyes widened, he carried the magazine and walked into his office.

Drake I make a move to pick the papyrus up from the floor without intending to read it, but my mother bends down and grabs it first. "Nooo!" she cries fearfully. "I just wanted to pick it up. I did not intend to read it. You are pale, mother. What is wrong? Why do not you tell me?" "Please, son, do not make it more difficult. I cannot tell you. Forgive me," she tells me, wrapping the papyrus tightly and hiding it in her bosom, muttering that at the first opportunity, she will throw it into the fire.

Drake hesitated, his eyes glistening with mischief. “ We all have our lives to live. I'll leave you both to catch up." He glared at Ron. His gaze shifted from Ron, landing on me. “ Don't forget my words. Ron is a hungry wolf in sheep's clothing." Drake said,his voice laced with genuineness. He glared at Ron for the last time and exited the room.

Everything was going to be okay now, right? I sat with a book I grabbed at random and read with my left while snacking on the black olives with my right. Finally I felt tired again and got comfortable falling asleep again. Drake, here I come.

Flavius wades through the crowd of dragons until he comes upon a SpitFire much smaller than the rest. Her scales are a brilliant lilac compared to the deep violet of the other SpitFires. She slowly approaches Flavius sniffing his outstretched hand. Flavius uncurls his fingers, reaching for her head. In one swift movement, her jaws snap down on Flavius's hand. He lets out a yelp of surprise but does not try to pull his hand away. Blood drips from the mouth of the small SpitFire. She makes no move to rip Flavius's arm off, which is a good sign.

The box that Alastair sent me appeared beside him. "I need you to tell me what you saw when you were with the mothers," Malcolm asked, opening his book. The book looked old, older than anything I had ever seen. The leather looked dry and brittle, the paged torn and the spine of the book overly bent. It smelt of earth and a mix of blood, some human, some animal. "Why?" Drake asked, stepping forward. He didn't trust Malcolm, didn't like that Erik was so welcoming of him. Erik reached up and grabbed Drake's shoulder, giving it a warning squeeze. Malcolm closed the book and turned to Drake.

That's not happening! It’s kind of a silly and cheesy thing, almost old fashioned, but I like it and his deep, raspy voice with his british accent make the old regency era romance story sound both beautiful and sexy, despite the lack of sex scenes.
