I closed my eyes and began to breathe through the pain, hoping that with just a few moments of rest I could continue this seemingly never-ending hallway. Once again, I found myself floating away, but this time when I landed in the hospital room I didn't panic. I looked out the window and saw that it was dark outside, darker than normal from what I could tell. When I got close, I could see that someone had turned off the outside lights. But even without it, the outlines and shadows of people mulling around outside were still visible. They didn't look like they were moving as Soul Eaters had been. Soul eaters, it was amazing how the idea of that didn't seem so ridiculous or alarming now.

I had no choice, so I dug through every gift Zoe had ever given me, but I found nothing. Just when I was about to give up, I shook a pillow, and a tiny paper figure floated out. Its face was drawn to resemble Lucas, and his birth details were written on the back! The fortune teller exclaimed, “That’s it! The lock and the paper figure work together, and since you've touched the lock, the effect on you is stronger. Luckily, you found it early.” I broke out in a cold sweat. That same day, I slipped the paper figure under Miles’ pillow and instructed my parents to watch him while he slept.

A ghoul—a smoky, semi-corporeal horror with glowing red eyes and clawed hands—materialized from the shadows and slammed into him. He grunted in pain as his back connected hard with the carriage, the breath knocked from his lungs. The cube clattered to the ground but continued its ominous pulse. The ghoul, joined by a second, shambled toward him. The mayor, witnessing this, screamed, and the few townsfolk nearby scattered.

*Third POV* “See I will tell you everything about the basement and other stuff as we have a lot to talk about. First, why not he have our breakfast. I dont want it to end with the quarrel and you once again avoid eating” Takeshi smiles placing his hand upon Koishi’s only made him take his hand back the next second. “Okay” Koishi smiles as he avoids looking at Takeshi not noticing the sudden change of expression over his face. “Let's get started with it” Takeshi smiles looking down at his plate as Koishi first takes the cup of coffee recognizing his own cup which has his favourite anime character Gojo Saturo from Jujutsu Kaisen upon it.

I had a splendid dream of sitting on a cliff. The moon shone ten times brighter than it ever did on any other night, and beside me was the most beautiful being, a werewolf in his human form, having only my red shawl spread across his groin. As I was thinking about it, Beth retreated to other side of corner and that female ghoul growled lowly on Draco and me ‘URRRGgggggggg……’ voice of female ghoul sounded as if she was choked in water, all of sudden her facial expression changed and she shifted her attention toward Mr. Hanzo who was unconscious, she quickly rushed towards Mr. Hanzo with help of her both hands and legs and stretched out her sharp looking blood covered claws towards him however the moment she touched him she shrunked back and I was able to see white colored smoke coming out of her fingers.

Zane continues before ending the call. I ran to my bike, opened the compartment behind and put on the leather jacket I kept inside just in case. I took out my mask, which is enough to cover my mouth and one of my eyes, leaving a hole for me to look. I drew a mouth and other designs on it to make it look cool and it's safe to say that I'm proud of it. If you've ever watched Tokyo Ghoul, you might have an idea or two. It looks just like kaneki's, but mine is better.

It doesn’t draw blood, but instead holds onto my leg and stares up at me. Shaking badly, I try to pull myself together. Eventually, I force myself to grab ahold of it and pull it off my leg so I can get a closer look. When we are both at eye level, I see that it is indeed one and the same because now the little boy has the soul eater’s pale beautiful face.
