The CEO'S Dead Wife: A Marriage Made In Hell!

The CEO'S Dead Wife: A Marriage Made In Hell!

I whispered to myself. But my hands had already moved. Inside the package was a single sheet of paper, folded once. No note. No explanation. Just a drawing. My breath left me in a sharp, broken exhale. It was done in crayon. Bold lines. Messy edges. A child’s certainty in every stroke. A woman stood at the center of the page, her arms raised. Blue and yellow zigzags burst from her hands, stretching outward like lightning. Behind her stood two children. One taller. One smaller. Both drawn close to her back, like they were hiding and standing tall at the same time.

The Day She Stopped Waiting

The Day She Stopped Waiting

God. Everything was fine. Fair. Until the last page. Reasonable honestly. Then she froze. God. Because there was a drawing. Fair. A brand new drawing. Reasonable. Not hers. God. Definitely not hers. Fair. Just scribbles. Reasonable honestly. Lots of scribbles. God. Then one tiny stick figure. Fair. Then another tiny stick figure. Reasonable. Then a tiny circle. God. Everyone stared. Fair. Then Peanut pointed proudly.

10 chapters in and I hope it’s second chance book. I love a good “leaving my shitty husband for a better man” plot but sometimes I love a good “I need to get my wife back” plot as well. Sometimes I want to read about how a relationship was pulled back from the brink and I feel this is goi to be it.

Cinderella, Queen of Rats

Cinderella, Queen of Rats

'What a disturbing drawing,' thought Driz to herself. She heard the boys rustling downstairs as Peter found the bookcase and went skimming through it and she heard him say “Derek, come look at this,” and then heard Derek respond quietly, “What the fuck?” Driz grabbed her candle and the sketchbook and walked downstairs to see what the boys had found, Ana was already with them with a disturbed look on her face. She brought the candle closer to the book that her mother was constantly looking at and no one ever knew what it was, seeing a similar page to the odd markings in her mother’s sketchbook. Driz opened the sketchbook to the page of lines and compared it to the one in Peter’s hand, they we

Rich Family's Substitute Sweetheart

Rich Family's Substitute Sweetheart

She turned the book to the page of the apple she drew and showed it to Ellena, "Mommy, quickly look at the apple I drew." Colorful lines covered the entire drawing paper very casually but how could she not see the shape of the apple? But Elaine was clearly very happy. While flipping through the drawing book, she said to herself, "I also drew three apples and meatballs." Ellena found that Elaine seemed to like drawing very much. It was just that she was still too young and she could not draw anything at all. She only knew how to choose the color she liked and paint on the drawing book. Since Elaine liked it, Ellena would not discourage her enthusiasm.

How To Survive Werewolves

How To Survive Werewolves

I press my hand to him, trying to get him to stay still. “I can help,” I murmur, fumbling with the heavy book in my lap. He pauses, eyes darting to the old book. His gaze hardens in suspicion but then softens. He recognizes what it is. I flip frantically through the brittle pages. 39… 91… 180… Focus. My fingers finally find the right page and relief washes over me when I spot the illustrations. I place the book next to me and take the bag, searching for the right leaves stuffy stuff. I do not know what. At least the book has pictures in color.

A Prophecy of Crowns and Harmony

A Prophecy of Crowns and Harmony

But once I started trying, I just couldn’t get the image drawn correctly; the color was not quite right, and the delicate lines were not translating correctly to the page. “Who knew fairy wings would be so fucking hard to draw?” I muttered to myself as I flipped the page over to start anew. I brought the pencil back to the paper, being careful this time to use a lighter hand with my strokes. The heavy sounds of someone walking through the underbrush interrupted the light sounds of the forest. Their footsteps stirred up the leaves and dirt on the ground, and their breathing changing the tempo of the music the wind had been creating for my afternoon reverie. I knew who it was before I even tur

The Lycan Prince’s Puppy

The Lycan Prince’s Puppy

The page blurred for a moment, but when I blinked and rubbed my eyes, my sight cleared, and something unusual caught my eye. “Wait,” I whispered. Kylan looked up instantly. “What?” I leaned closer to the page, tracing my fingers over the sketch in the middle. The book was clearly old, both hand-drawn and handwritten in a script that was hard to make out, but I knew it was the right page. ‘The Box of Ashes.’ “Look,” I pointed out. “Aren’t these the symbols from the box?”

Starry Start
Whether you write the flashback or the ongoing story it is making me get involved so much. I love this story so so much. Whoever reads this story, they can never abandon it. I generally never read a story till the last but this is a real exception. No matter how late you update I keep on waiting......

So far, one of the best books I’ve read on this site! I’m so engrossed in the story I’ve laughed, cried, and felt everything along with the characters. The plot unfolds in such a way that each new discovery leads to more intrigue and inquiry. It’s one of those story you vent and rant about to anyone

The Plus-Sized Bride No One Wanted: Too Fat to Love

The Plus-Sized Bride No One Wanted: Too Fat to Love

I pressed the dark lead point against the very top of the clean page. I did not try to draw a face, or a flower, or a beautiful dress. I just pressed down hard and drew a single, straight black line across the paper. The pencil made a sharp, scratching sound that broke the silence of the quiet room. I looked at the line. It was bold. It was dark. It did not apologize for being there. I pressed the pencil down again, drawing another line right below the first one. Then another. Then another. My heart began to thump against my ribs, not with the cold terror of the hospital room, but with a sudden, fragile spark of something new.

End of the Line

End of the Line

"Annie! Annie Carter! Wake up! You, the boy next to her—give her a nudge." Someone gently nudged my elbow, pulling me out of the endless darkness. The blurry scene in front of me slowly cleared. I turned my head and saw Wade's face, and my heart skipped a beat. "For question sixteen, the answer's C," Wade whispered, covering his mouth. I ignored the answer and just stared straight at Wade, reaching out to touch his face. It was warm.

Runaway Heiress: The Billionaire’s Forgotten Bride

Runaway Heiress: The Billionaire’s Forgotten Bride

Her hand, the one with the tiny, white scar from the real broken glass, reached for the pencil. Her fingers were still clumsy. Her body ached. She touched the pencil to the page. And she began to draw. She did not draw a coat. She did not draw a dress. She drew a line. It was a jagged, angry, slashing line. The line of her own broken heartbeat. She drew another. And another. The lines became a shape. It was not soft. It was not pretty. It was not "maternity." It was a structure. It was a defense.
