Chapter Thirty Six Unwound Destany Megan stood outside of the ER department with dried tears on her cheeks waiting for Thomas. There had been another dead body, and this time it was someone from Megan’s past. David had been in the navy and was known around the hospital as Dr. Struggles. He was one of the doctors that had been on the oldest destroyers. He had a way doing things, and if you didn’t follow them to the letter, he would get bent out of shape. Many people would describe him as Dr. Doolittle from the original movie.

Kiran poured our drinks and we clinked our glasses together in a toast. “Are you scared yet?” Malachi asked me. “About what?” “A girl.
