The Lycan Academy

The Lycan Academy

He feared he would be forgotten in time. As his thoughts came back to the present, he felt a mist covering his heart, as though protecting him from further regrets. He was drowning, drowning in water, drowning in sorrow, drowning in life. He drifted away, to a place far away. All hope was lost, and defeat reigned. Blackness all around him. The water still swirled, pulling him into infinite oblivion, yet it had become calm, and cool, much like his mind. All weariness was gone.

Back From Death: Now She's Drowning in Regret

Back From Death: Now She's Drowning in Regret

A rebar had impaled his chest, blood gushing from the wound. Theo reached out his hand toward me, his eyes filled with nothing but terror. "D-Dad, save me," he pleaded. It was the first time he'd ever called me "Dad", only it was far too late.

The demon wolf’s Affair

The demon wolf’s Affair

Lor I walk away from my Luna’s screams that seem to ricochet down the hall. On the first day, her screams couldn’t be heard. She was chained underwater and she drowned as many times as she revived, her immortality saving her each time, only to welcome her into fresh torment. Her screams could be heard on the second day when the drill started on her toes. Today, her screams are even louder. Three days for the three days that my mate has been unconscious thanks to her scheming and her betrayal. Killing her may be impossible but I wasn’t joking when I said there are worse things than death.

My Alpha, Her Mate

My Alpha, Her Mate

I adjusted my dress and left the room. I sat in my room depressed, I rarely drank, I decided to drown my sorrow with half a bottle of vodka. I sat on the bed and wept. This was worse than the vampires, the hunters and the witches. This was the worst form of attack ever. I doubted if I would survive it.

Sonja Mallery
This is an excellent book - very well written- great story line that’s exciting to follow. It takes you through all the emotions - the highs, the lows, and lower and then brings you up. Highly recommend- just the right amount of love and romance - I couldn’t put it down! You’ll love the heroine!

Dark Water

Dark Water

It was as if he had truly disappeared from all existence. 'Look deep...see your fate, Hemlock...' Nathaniel trembled. A rare wave of fear roiled in his stomach as he stepped into the shallow water. The ripple widened, becoming a broken mirror, but as they settled it was not his reflection that was shown before him. The water went red. Thick and rich. The shadowy forms of children rose and fell. Their eyes were wide and their mouths were open in unheard screams. He watched in horror as their mouth became wider and their throats opened, the wound travelling down to reveal their frantic heart. Slowly ceasing its racing beat.

The Bad Boy Thinks I'm Suicidal

The Bad Boy Thinks I'm Suicidal

Ahh maybe he's just playing with me. I laugh it off and go towards the pool back of our house. Thinking of taking a dip I jump in the water. I went in deep holding my breath, and relaxed knowing that this time was limited. It is really peaceful. Suddenly I'm pulled out of the water. What the? "Are you crazy? Now you go to the limit of actually drowning yourself?" Blake shouted. Wait, Blake? "You- here? Wait. Drowning?" I ask, confused. "Yes. Drowning. When a person struggles to breath and is suffering, having a near death experience. That's called Drowning!" He replied. Now that I notice he is drenched in water.

Billionaire Boss? Nah, Just A Possessive Husband!

Billionaire Boss? Nah, Just A Possessive Husband!

We’ll die together! Soraya screamed again, a waterlogged, bubbling sound. She kicked frantically, trying to dislodge the hand dragging her down, but Nicky held on with the strength of the truly damned. Soraya’s movements grew weaker, more sluggish. Her head dipped under the surface. It came up, gasping, then went under again, for longer this time. Splash. A figure cut through the pond with clean, efficient strokes. It was Kai. He dove under, emerged with Soraya’s limp form, dragged her to the bank and dumped her unceremoniously on the mud, then turned and went straight back for Nicky.

Alpha Greogry

Alpha Greogry

Suddenly overwhelmed, she turned on her heel and slammed the door shut behind her, the sound reverberating in the stillness of the house. Taking a deep breath, she made her way to the bathroom, needing to drown her sorrows in hot water. The bath was a temporary escape, a fleeting moment of calm, but it never lasted long enough. After soaking for a while, she reluctantly returned to the bedroom, the weight of her grief hanging heavy in the air.

Okay, made it till chapter 50 but I'm stopping. Although Alpha Greg is interesting the story doesn't make sense, details don't add up and unfinished chapters. He's supposed to be 40 but his best is suddenly only 20. The female lead is so weak and her father's actions don't make sense.

Gosh, I wish every girl who has a dad like Emma's, would rather become an orphan. Hopefully, Alpha Gregory will realize the blessing of the Moon Goddess in sending Emma to his pack... and he better do it soon!

Seduced by Darkness

Seduced by Darkness

It was a heart-wrenching tableau of despair and loss, a stark reminder of the fragility of life and the merciless power of nature. As James and Isabella clung to each other, their tears mingling with the waters of the river that had claimed their son, their anguish was a poignant reminder of the enduring pain that comes with losing a loved one, a pain that would forever leave an indelible mark on their hearts and the hearts of all who had witnessed this tragic day by the river.

The Shadow Knight

The Shadow Knight

Faces pressed against the liquid surface from within, mouths open in silent screams or perhaps desperate attempts to breathe. The River of Sorrows contains all grief ever experienced. To cross is to face not just your own loss but all loss throughout existence. A simple instruction, brutally difficult in execution. The Shadow Knight approached the river's edge. The water, if it could be called that, reacted to his presence, reaching tendrils toward him like a living thing seeking connection. He stepped into the flow.
