Fearing Fate

Fearing Fate

I don’t know how much time had passed. I was still holding Dad’s drained body in a pool of rose-colored water. My eyes were swollen from crying. Two figures appear in front of me. They were speaking, but words, sounds, nothing was coming through. One of them knelt in front of me. He took my face in both his hands. His lips were moving but it seems like I am listening to them from underwater. Maybe I died too. Drowned in my tears and joined Dad and Mom. Can you die from crying too much? Dehydrate yourself to the point of no return? I think that’s what happened to me.

at first I thought this was going to be the same as all the other stories. dumb main characters with a jealous girl who wants what isn't hers. I was wrong. this book was fantastic. I'm so happy I stuck it out and can't wait until the next book is finished to read.

Bound To The Billionaire

Bound To The Billionaire

AVA It had been days since we returned from that cursed vacation. The villa was supposed to be a retreat, a place to unwind and reconnect, but it had nearly been our end. I could still feel the icy water swallowing me, the terror of sinking deeper, my lungs screaming for air. Every night, I jolted awake, heart pounding, the drowning feeling pulling me back into that nightmare. And every night, Liam was there—his arms strong around me, his voice a soothing lull, whispering, “I’ve got you. You’re safe. We’re safe.”

Crudus' Violins

Crudus' Violins

replied Erito smiling somewhat more cheerfully at the moment. It was solely Lumax Lianto who drowned himself in the ocean of his disillusionment and sadness. He couldn’t rejoice like what his other four friends were doing. A group of dark clouds was drifting above the horizon of his background world. Downpour was really going to come. A series of disillusionment and sadness was still fluttering in the atmosphere of Lumax Lianto’s feeling and perception. ***

Of All Sorrows, Love Is the Deepest

Of All Sorrows, Love Is the Deepest

The wind howled fiercely, and Rowena stood at the edge of the cliff in a white dress, swaying perilously. The sea breeze lifted her skirt, making her appear as fragile as glass. "Rowena!" Clarence, Irving, and Luther shouted in panic. "Come back!" Rowena turned to look back, tears streaming down her face. "Clarence, Irving, Luther, Nicholas, I can't bear to leave you, but Karina won't accept me. Since I'm dying anyway, why not end it here? This way, I won't be in her way anymore."

Drowning in the Name of Love

Drowning in the Name of Love

"It's fine. I feel much better now." He didn't pull away. The two of them stood there, leaning against each other. As if suddenly remembering something, Wren hastily asked, "Zach, where's Sierra? She's nowhere to be seen. I must've scared her when I fainted. I need to apologize to her!" Apologize? Her façade made me sick. I was already dead. How on earth was she going to apologize to me? The collision between the crashing waves and the yacht tore my body apart, and even the sea creatures had been drawn by the scent of blood, feasting on my remains.

Three Days of Drowning in the Sea

Three Days of Drowning in the Sea

My soul drifted up from a cage at the bottom of the ocean, somehow ending up near Isaac Thornton. Liam Donovan, his assistant, told Isaac, "Mr. Thornton, Mrs. Thornton's been in the ocean for a day and a night. The water's freezing; she might not make it." Isaac replied, "She's only been in the ocean for a day and a night, but my Mandy's gone forever." Liam tried again, "But the dead can't be brought back. If something happens to Mrs. Thornton..." Isaac threw a stack of papers at him.

Daughter Of Phoenix

Daughter Of Phoenix

That click that brought nothing good. Before I could even blink, I fell into the trance. Then I was submerged into water. The beach, I was at the beach, the salt water hitting my tongue. Drowning. I was drowning. And I heard screams, this time I was definite it wasn't mine. It was deep, filled. It was Elijah's. Despite going against my better judgement, despite knowing he was dead. I found myself swimming closer to the sound, thrashing against the wild currents and failing. Then I was submerged deeper and the whole world went black.

The vanished family a memory of murder

The vanished family a memory of murder

(sukoon pov) As I step into the room, a heavy sadness descends upon me like a suffocating blanket. The air feels thick and stagnant, as if it holds the weight of unshed tears and lingering despair. The once vibrant colours of the surroundings have faded, drained of their life and vitality. Shadows dance in the dimly lit space, casting elongated figures that mirror the desolation within.

Alpha Carter’s Cursed Mate

Alpha Carter’s Cursed Mate

"See I-" The door to the basement room slammed open as the stairs creaked under the weight of the monster slowly descending. Her vision abruptly shifted, and Thalia felt cold and wet. She was drowning in murky water. She tried to drag her tiny body up as she flailed her arms, screaming 'Dad' over and over again. Every time she opened her mouth, water would rush in only to push her closer to the hands of death. She was shouting for help, trying desperately to claw her way out of the river. She was drowning. In the cold water, she could feel the icy cold fingers of death wrap their claws around her heart, her body was aching, and she was going to die. Any moment now, she would be breathing her

My chest burns from lack of air and I watch as I sink further, grass twisted around my ankles keeping me down. What a great way to die. Drowning. Finally a death I deserved.
