Caged By Him

Caged By Him

The pain of his loss was overwhelming, shattering his sense of self as he watched the fruits of years of hard work go up in flames. Jasmine's eyebrows knitted together in sorrow as she watched him go quiet. His face turned into a grey mask, his eyes becoming like grey orbs. A wave of dread and sorrow washed over her, her heart thundering in her chest. She sensed a looming sadness in him, her heart sinking as she faced the impending doom. Her breath caught in her throat, a wave of sorrow gripping her in its icy hold.

PRETEND YOU MINE

PRETEND YOU MINE

It terrified me, and with good reason. Drowning is a horrific way to go out. Well, it is if you're conscious. This was something I knew from experience. The cold and desperate feeling as water invades your nose and mouth. The impossible attempt to stay calm and hold your dwindling breath. The pain of lungs utterly depleted of oxygen.

Alpha of the Shadows

Alpha of the Shadows

Deep, alive, drowning. I’d miss looking at those eyes. I couldn’t help the cry that left my throat. It was a guttural, soul-wrenching wail—raw and unrestrained—as if the grief itself clawed its way out of my chest. It wasn't just a sound of sorrow; it was the kind of cry that tore through silence like a storm, born from the unbearable weight of watching the man I loved fade away. It held all the shattered dreams, the aching what-ifs, and the terrifying reality of facing a future without him.

Drowning in Misguided Love

Drowning in Misguided Love

His entire body shook, and there was something in his expression that resembled sorrow. Was he truly grieving? Too bad, I was already dead. I felt pity for myself too. Dead at only 26 because of my foolish one-sided love. Sven covered his face with his hands. Through his fingers, it looked like tears were seeping out. Was he crying? Or maybe he was crying tears of joy. After all, with me dead, there was no need to sign the divorce papers or to split his wealth. He could marry Alina freely. Alina stood behind him, and from her eyes, I could see the barely concealed delight and malice. It was the same look she had when she ordered the kidnappers to torture me.

Drowning In You

Drowning In You

What exactly was caring enough? I found caring a little scary. When my brother died, I felt like my heart tore to pieces and words couldn't properly describe the mix of emotions that filled my chest. I never wanted to experience that again. A woman walked passed me and her bikini bottoms immediately stole my attention. She wore white bottoms that were tied on the sides and a golden butterfly hang at the ends of her straps. I fought the urge to follow her and ask where she got them from since that would be weird. I made sure to grab every detail so that I could find it when I search the internet later.

DEIMOS: The Alpha's Unchosen Mate

DEIMOS: The Alpha's Unchosen Mate

My male raises his voice in an attempt to show he wants the finger back tiny palms reaching for Cronus's hand. I remain silent again not wishing to conform to his words that pain me. Drowning. Yes, I remember that feeling. It isn't merely about not being able to breathe. It is a slow death where despite one trying to reach the surface, the miracle never comes until...the person who bounds them to the bottom of the ocean sets them free.

I have to say I love love this book. It has become one my go to favorites. Luna Liz has such a way of writing that makes you feel all the emotions her characters are feeling throughout her story. Definitely recommend this book.

I loved this book, but most of all I like how you give us an in-depth illustration of what Deimos and Lumina are going through. And we get follow and livre through their journey where they make mistakes, but also learn and evolve.

The Mourner's Cradle: A Widow’s Journey

The Mourner's Cradle: A Widow’s Journey

Leaving Cemetery Road, the shadows merged into the darkness of the downtown city streets. In their arms, a nameless spawn of sorrows stared from yellow, dead slits of eyes. For the days and months to come, it would serve to remind the shadows that, on this strange night of ‘79, they were close to something great until death itself intervened to push them away. With the dead thing in their arms between them, they fled the city streets for a place darker yet, where they belonged, where it belonged, and they were gone.
