I had gotten to spend time with Mey, helping her with homework and telling her my life story. I let out a dreamy sigh, which made me look like Ron after he accidentally drank the love potion. Except that I didn't need a love potion to be crazy about Mey.

I muttered as I smiled while I watch his own smile fade away. “Dumbledore Voldemort?? Supreme Alpha of the North territories??” He flustered as I could hear his heart beat so outrageously. “Yeah, him!!”

"I'm okay." But my hands were trembling. Because for the first time in seven years, fate was knocking on my door. And Ethan Blackwood was on the other side.

They just knew a lot about black spells and other dangerous incantations. “To be honest, I have also thought about that, Your Majesty. I didn't stop until I was inches from the oldest of them, a man with a long, white beard and eyes that were darting around the room like a trapped bird. "You’re standing in my house," I said. My voice wasn't loud, but it filled the hall, vibrating off the stone pillars. "In my father’s house. A house your people tried to burn to the ground." The old man, Lord Thorne, swallowed hard. His Adam's apple bobbed in his throat. "Alpha Blackwood. We... we were misled. Silas Vane acted without the full consent of the High Seat. He was obsessed with the Well. He was... unwell."

An Elder sneered, "You lost that right the moment you were banished." I tilted my head, "Banishment is only as strong as the one who enforces it," I countered, "And I see no one here who holds enough power to keep me out." A low growl rumbled from one of the wolves seated at the table, but Bernard lifted a hand, silencing the room. "Bold words," he finally spoke, his voice deep and measured.”But you keep forgetting I am no longer just your brother, I am Alpha Bernard, the only one that is unstoppable, the only one that has the unthinkable power to do whatever.”

I scanned my surroundings and there he was, the dark lord, sitting in the Jacuzzi with both hands resting on the edge of the tub. “I can see you’re feeling better. Care to join me?”

I smile. “You too.” Callie smiles back. “Your locker...” He starts. “It’s the locker of the actual devil himself, Killian Saunders.” He explains. “Who is this dude? Why is everyone asking me if he’s my brother?” I snap. “We cannot mention him who shall not be named on school grounds Trey!” Callie shrieks. “Callie, he needs to know like everyone else here.” He replies calmly. “Apparently according to his detailed description he looked a lot like you but with black hair and blue eyes. You even have his dress sense.” He adds.

They keep on attacking them, trying to pull them inside the tower. I and Deborah went toward them as fast as we can to help them but we’re late already. The black hand grabbing Archmaster Leonard’s waist let go of him for a while then it quickly penetrated his body, extending to Archmistress’. Afterwards, it left their bodies lifeless, falling to the ground. “No! It can’t be!” Deborah shouted, then, she flew quickly to catch Archmistress Demia’s body. While, I managed to catch Archmaster’s body just before he reached the ground.

The wolf followed on silent paws, moving in tense circles around them like a guard closing ranks. But as they reached the edge of the chamber, the rift tore open further— not completely not enough to reveal the creature beyond but enough to let something slip through. A hand. Tall, elegant fingers, dripping with silver-black flame. A hand that looked like it had once belonged to something divine… before being corrupted. Aria froze, her scream caught in her throat. Erevan shoved her behind him, shadows rising like a wall of black fire. “RUN.” The hand curled.
