The proportions were wrong, and the perspective worse.
It was meant to be two people. I think.
The first figure stood tall, cartoonishly wide shoulders, a sharp smile stretching across its crooked face. She’d drawn actual horns on the head like some devil from a child’s storybook.
Beside it, she’d written, Mr. Evil Boss.
And below him, on her knees as if begging for her life, was another figure. She’d scribbled beside it, me.
I tilted my head. It looked like she’d gotten bored while waiting that day.
