I couldn't see the cause, so I continued on, more aware of my surroundings now.
Suddenly, my dress got snagged under my feet, making me tumble into the dirt. I groaned, my body too sore from running to get up. I laid there for a moment, recovering. I almost wanted just to lay there, give up and let them come to find me. I felt defeated. I finally found it in myself to get to my feet, dusting off my hands and wiping the dirt off my knees. I couldn't give up; I had too much to live for. I heaved a sigh and began to brush the dirt off my butt when my eyes caught movement ahead of me.
