Echidna Monster Novels & Stories

WHY? People say monsters aren’t real, but I dare to disagree. Monsters exist, but they do not have scary horns and hideous bodies as they are described in children’s books. Instead, they have eight pack abs and sport seductive smiles so you’d never suspect what’s hidden behind their alluring appearance. “Allaya!” A voice in low key stops me on my tracks. It’s Eduard, Elijah’s best friend. I burst into a nervous laughter, trying to push back the tears that are threatening to fall.

FIADH POV Suddenly the hideous beast drops down to its stomach. Its four arms begin to move like legs, and Jia gasps as I cover my mouth to keep from screaming. The way it is crawl-running toward Terrax is horrifying. It looks like a mutated zombie crocodile. If humans on Earth could picture this monster, they would have him star in every scary movie for the next ten years. If he were running like that toward me, I would run as fast as I could in the opposite direction, but not Terrax. Terrax isn't even flinching. He is standing firm and calm while watching the approaching danger.

The remaining part seemed to be made of bug eggs. Next, the giant stoneman was as hard as a rock and as steady as Mount Tai. He was about 2.5 meters tall, and his whole body was made of mud and stones. There were thousands of moss mixed in the mud and stones, and his brain was made of mud. It was flat and weird, but his eyes were very big. The last one was the person in the water. His figure was ethereal. He seemed to be a ghost in the water without limbs, but he had a water arm, a water leg, a crab arm, and a shrimp.

Just then, the sound of falling trees erupted, and a hideous figure appeared before them, breaking the awkward silence. A giant monster, over two meters tall, shaped like a toad, had a face that was a combination of a human's with two eyes made up of hundreds of other eyes. It stuck out a long, snake-like tongue and continuously vomited a disgusting slime. More horrifying was the slimy liquid that, wherever it fell, caused the plants there to wither and gradually die. It was poisonous. Immediately, Bridget stepped back, moving away. Having seen the girl leaving, he focused on dealing with the monster.

“Before more show up.” After what feels like forever, we enter a big chamber beneath the ruins. At its middle is a pedestal. Resting atop it is a sparkling silver stone…the Moon Stone. It hums with energy. As I walk forward, the ground rumbles again. This time, it’s not guardians. It’s something worse. From the shadows, a hideous monster rises. It’s at least ten feet tall, clothed in dark armor with flashing red fractures running through its breast. Horns twist from its skull-like head, and eyes burn like fire.

“Let me see him, Cassian. Please.” And then the door behind him creaked open. I froze. A massive figure stepped through, and everything inside me stopped. Leonidas. Not as I knew him. Not the man. The wolf. He was huge and towering. A beast carved from shadow and silver. Thick fur the color of midnight bled into streaks of ash at his sides. His eyes, still the same startling, wild gold, locked on mine. His eyes looked to be in so much pain but maintaining strong restrictions.

It took several minutes before the scorpions were completely exhausted. I saw how Elijah's sword returned to his hands and it was still glowing and giving off a little smoke. Now I looked around us and there were many scattered corpses of scorpions. They are all dead and no one survived. They are as big as humans and I know they carry poison in their tails. "W-isn't it like a Basilisk?" I asked Elijah. Because that happened in the conversation about the Basilisk. Can't it be the same in Callora Grande? "No. The monster guarding the relic here must be killed." He answered me.
