Abandoned

Ilayda's POV:

I woke up this morning at 7 a.m., as every single morning I opened the curtains to get a view of the street. It is a beautiful morning here in New York no matter what the weather is I find it always beautiful or maybe I am just too in love with this city. After a long session of contemplating the scene that lay before me. I went to the bathroom, washed my face, and other things.

I put on my outfit, and I head to the kitchen. Oh, I am telling you my story but I forgot to introduce myself, how rude. So anyway, my name is Ilayda, I'm a maid, I've been working as a housemaid for 3 years now and I'm 20 years old. I am working for The Elfonso family they are good people, weird but they treat me well, I guess? Nevertheless, I think it is all I need. I am working for Mr. and Mrs. Elfonso, they are rather a funny old couple but they're not too old though, and however, they act weird sometimes. There is also their daughter Maribelle or Belle for short, she supposedly lives here, but we rarely see her. You know that girl is always out partying mainly because she does not get along with her parents that much, but she seems nice too. The couple also has a son but he does not live here, he lives off the country in Italy handling his father's business there. I have never seen him before because when I started working there he was already gone.

I looked at my watch at 7:45 a.m.

«Where were you Ilayda? You are late, again. «Nona was not a mean person but she does like discipline and respect when it comes to working." I'm so sorry I didn't mean to I will head to work right now" I went to the refrigerator to pick some things for the breakfast making.

"Darling you know today we have a lot of things to do and with the elder son coming home we don't have much time."

Damn, it totally slipped off my mind that

Nona and I finished cleaning the whole house at around 11:30 a.m. we worked fast, the house or if I may say the mansion is gigantic but we are used to it by now, besides we had to start preparing lunch because the elder son is arriving at lunchtime.

Christian Elfonso's POV:

The alarm woke me up it's 5 a.m.

Fuck, I am going to be late. I took a quick shower, in thirty minutes I was ready.

Luggage. Check

Arriving at the airport I hand in my passport and ticket and now I was waiting for the plane, suddenly I heard my phone ringing, it must be my father he can never leave me the hell alone and he's the only one to call me at this hour." Hey" I really didn't feel like talking to him, I never did because he always gets on my nerves he could never be satisfied with the effort I put into work, he always has something to say " where are you?"

" When you land you will find Henry at the gate waiting for you " I spent 3 years away but when I get back he sends the driver to get me, thank you, father, for not disappointing me, not like I need him or anything... typical Mr. Elfonso. I did not feel like talking to him any longer so I hang up.

After a 5 hour flight I finally landed in New York, I spot Henry right on sight he is a very hard man to miss because... well he looks kind of scary.

«Welcome back Mr. Elfonso how was your flight?" When did he become so nice?

"It was good, thanks. How have you been Henry? "

Ilayda's POV

The bell rang; it must be the elder son.

I took a final look at the house to make sure that everything is in the right place and spotless, and I went to the kitchen to get the food ready. I heard someone screaming, it was Maribelle she finally was home and sober so that she can meet her brother, then I heard Mrs. Elfonso crying and saying how much she misses him and she kept asking him about his health and well being but I haven't heard nor the elder son's voice nor his fathers, weird.

Nona also went to say hi since she practically raised the guy, she was technically like a second mother to him, but since I am just the maid I stayed back in the kitchen.

Then Mrs. Elfonso called me "yes ma'am" I answered back, everyone was sitting there except the elder son

"Set the table for lunch hon, my son is back and he is starving." off to work again,

"Sure ". I went to the kitchen, started getting the table ready, then I went back to the kitchen Nona took the rest of the plates and came back again, they must have started eating.

Nona called my name "yes Nona."

"Darling, I'm a bit tired can you get the table once they're done?" Indeed she looked a little pale today, she is an old lady after all, not old as in one foot in grave old, but it's obvious that her life wasn't all candy and chocolate, she had to work hard so now she deserves to rest and enjoy her life not work as a maid.

"Of course" I answered.

"Thank you love".

I was sitting alone in the kitchen waiting for them to be over so that I can clean the table after them.

Suddenly I heard Mrs. Elfonso calling my name, I wondered what happened, and usually, they do not like having a maid next to them when they are eating.

I went to the living room. As I stepped in, I saw that the food was no longer on the table but rather on the floor along with crashed plates and cups all over the place. then I looked up and I saw him, the elder son, my eyes widened, as I could not believe that such a man can actually exist in real life.
