“I brought you a cupcake,” she said, eagerly looking down at the misshaped cupcake in her hand.
“Come on, Sophie, you can’t barge in on His Majesty like this,” Edmund said sternly.
“Thank you, Sophie. I just had a craving for a cupcake,” I said, and took it from her.
“Really?” she asked me innocently, and smiled as I bit into it. Her smile was radiant as I chewed slowly.
“Did you make these yourself?” I asked her, and she nodded her head proudly. “It’s great.” I forced the cupcake down my throat because it really was terrible.
