He chuckled.

He ended the call and placed the phone on the bedside table.
"Sorry," he said. "That was my son, Jarvis."
The moment I heard that name, my heart stumbled, Jarvis.
I shifted slightly, hoping my face hadn't given anything away.
"He says he's finally met the woman he wants to marry." Elvis smiled, shaking his head. "Jarvis and his hasty decisions. The boy has always moved faster than his own shadow."
