Gianna paused, waiting for Elena's response. Elena mirrored Gianna's serious expression but couldn't resist flashing a deceptive smile. "Of course, Gianna, you can count on me always. Together, we can surpass even Steve Jobs' wildest dreams." Elena said as she suppressed the bitter anger inside of her. Gianna's confidence wavered slightly at Elena's smile, but she pushed the feeling aside. "Thank you, Elena. I know we can do great things together. Elena's voice dripped with sarcasm as she spoke to Gianna. "I'm sure you're feeling so proud of yourself right now that you could fly," she said, barely containing her anger.

I yelled angrily, showing her the screen of my phone. She dropped from her car elegantly. And maybe a few bucks as compensation," she said, her sly smile still visible.

Ellis trembled under his gaze and scrambled back. "Why backing away now?" Gilbert asked, his voice silky. "You seemed plenty brave a second ago when you were shoving people." "Who... who do you think you are?" Ellis stuttered. This man was smiling, but it was the kind of smile that made her skin crawl. Gilbert’s grin widened, looking both charming and diabolical. "Nobody special. Just a guy who isn't above hitting a woman if she deserves it."

She turned back to find him looking down at her, a massive, unbothered smile stretching against her palm. "Stop talking, or I will personally rip that mouth right off your handsome face." she gritted out through a dark sweet smile of her own. Killian didn't flinch. Instead, he wrapped his large fingers around her wrist, gently pulling her hand away from his face, his smile only widening. Elara dropped back into her seat, breathing heavily as she stared at him like he had grown a second head. "Why are you smiling like a lunatic?" she demanded. "You called me handsome." his eyes locked onto hers.
