Connor joined me on the bed, and soon enough, we were both laying down. We weren't touching each other, just laying side by side. He was sharing his beer with me again, I don't know why. He probably just didn't want either of us to get too out of hand. We were sitting in complete silence, just staring at the ceiling above us. I whispered, a sudden question popping into my mind.

I trailed off not sure what he was talking about. He breathe a chuckle, shaking his head amusedly with a smirk on his lips. "You have to Change" he mumbled, his eyes racking my outfit. I am putting on a black jean trouser paired with a white convas and a white long sleeve shirt. "What's wrong with my outfit?" I asked crossing my hands around my chest and pouting. Elijah gave me 'the look' and chuckled before rolling my eyes. "Okay, okay I get it but I don't have anything presentable to wear" I mumbled with a frown.

He laughed at me and put his finger on my lips, saying, "Shhh, Catalina, he won't save you anymore." He slowly moved toward me, lifted my chin, and put his lips on my neck. Conor shook off his surprise and tackled Elijah to the ground, raining blows on his face in rapid succession until Elijah’s face was bloody and almost unrecognisable, but he didn't stop until he was literally dragged off Elijah by Asher. “Enough! I need him alive,” Asher gritted out, dragging a struggling Conor off the now-unconscious Elijah. “Snap out of it,” Asher snapped, shaking Conor, who was still heaving with barely concealed rage. Conor shrugged off Asher’s grip, turning to him, now calmer than he was a minute ago. “Where is Brielle?” Conor asked.

Elijah said into the speaker phone. I could hear Elijah discussing something about the dogs. “What were they drugged with, my friend?” Elijah said in an authorizing tone. It did not make sense why would anyone drug Connor or Eyolf. While they were different dogs than the human realm was used to they did not raise attention. I slipped out of the house without gaining Elijah’s attention. I took the car that he let me borrow while he said he was on a business trip. He soon told me that he had a meeting with his pack.
