Sadness laced his voice, and Mila just sighed. She wanted to hold and console him, but Dante was watching. Somewhere in the shadows, Dante lurked like the evil little demon he was. “Let me mark you again, Vixen,” Eli said sadly as he caressed her neck. Mila wanted to smile and jump for joy, yelling yes to the world. But she couldn’t. She had evil little eyes watching her. Eli was an Alpha King; he could take on Dante, right protect himself? However, did she really want to take that chance? Dante wasn’t just your ordinary demon; he was someone she created out of the love she once had for him.

He let out a hiss of pain, staggering. “If you touch her again,” Valerio growled, voice low and lethal, “I’ll make sure you spend your honeymoon in a wheelchair.” The venom in his tone sent a chill down my spine. Damian faltered…fear flashed in his eyes. Elara didn’t even move. Her whole body was tense, her gaze locked on Valerio like she was caught under a spell. “Valerio…” I murmured, touching his arm. At my voice, his jaw unclenched. He released Damian, who stumbled back, red-faced and humiliated.

“You’re not going to shoot me.” “You’re right,” I said coldly. “But I might start with your legs.” He smirked. “Always the hero. The problem is, you don’t know who the villain really is.” Lena’s voice came from behind me. “You’re the villain, Elias.” His gaze slid to her, and the smirk faded. “I’m the one trying to save you, Lena. You think Adrian’s the victim here? He’s the reason you’re in danger.” I stepped forward. “Say that again.”

And standing beneath them, bathed in the pale, sickly light of the moon, was Elion. The black energy coiled around his forearms like smoke obeying its master. His eyes, once familiar and soft, now glowed with a faint, malevolent violet light that seemed to drain the very color from the night. Then, slowly, he turned toward me. He didn't look like a victim of a kidnapping. He looked like a god passing judgment. He smiled... not warmly, not sadly.... dreadfully. “Oh,” he said softly, his voice cutting through the wind with impossible clarity. “You figured it out so fast.”

As I climb into the ring, I expect to see a huge person but the person in front of me is just a few feet taller than me and maybe a little bigger than Darien. I remember seeing him in my Aunt’s folder. Elio Mordecai. His father is the Alpha of Pack Faolan. Elio is the calm and quiet type with dark blue eyes and brown hair which appears reddish in the sun. I spot tattoos at his back when he flexes his arm.

A faint, thrilling heat began to uncoil in her stomach. "If your son knew his father was sleeping with the woman he loves, I imagine he'd be quite horrified," Nicha sneered. The petite woman made a move to get up and leave. This middle-aged man was simply far too charismatic. Even though he was approaching his fifties, his magnetism was undeniably dangerous. "I'm not the only villain here, Nicha. You're just as wicked as I am," Chayon said, his jaw tightening. "And so what?" the younger woman fired back.

"When the Patriarch's mutated blood begins to infect the Volkov high command, they will quarantine their own bunker. "They thought they could put a collar on me," Elara said softly, turning her face to look up at Dante. The adrenaline of the encounter flushed her cheeks, her eyes burning with an intoxicating, ruthless fire. "I am done being a victim, Dante. To Julian. To Chloe. To the Volkovs. I am the god of this island, and I will defend my throne."

I watched the carefree grin on my brother’s face—a look I hadn’t seen in months, not since I started restricting his travel and monitoring his bank accounts. He looked happy. Safe. Like he didn’t know what was at stake at the moment. “Oh my god, he did it!” Eliana gasped, clutching my arm. “He picked the villain!” “I told you!” Damien crowed, throwing his hands up. “Chaos reigns! This is why I love this show. Humans are garbage.” “I hate him,” Eliana groaned, burying her face in my neck. “I hate him so much. Why do I watch this?”

he smiled and turned to leave. “You know El Diablo, I was told you hardly reject a cool business, and with you doing this, it confirmed my suspicion. No man would have been able to pull that stunt last night, no man would have avoided the camera so much, no man would have kidnapped my daughter without leaving a trace, no man would have killed my men so effortlessly like that, no man would have accepted to that job knowing what I will do, no man would have been so efficient in it, no man would have perform the act so clean like that, no man except the infamous El Diablo.”

His lips curled in something that wasn’t quite a smile. “You risk setting off a silent security protocol to call your mother?” He stepped forward. I stepped back. He didn’t stop. “You really think Rico’s looking for you?” I froze. “What?” Elio raised a brow. “He’s not your friend. You were bait. That’s why he still hasn't sent your pay. Instead, he is planning on haunting your mom and sister .” “That’s a lie.” My jaw tightened “Oh, is it?” he asked mockingly. “And if you’re still clinging to some fantasy that Rico’s going to storm in here guns blazing, save it.”
