After making the necessary arrangements with Liza and informing the police that she would be going overseas for a while, Elizabeth books a plane ticket to Paris. She sits at the edge of her bed and thinks. Since she's seen August earlier, she hasn't really had time to think about everything that has happened. Her building burnt down, and somehow she knows Eldred Dereon was responsible for it. But why would he attack her? What reason could he possibly have? She barely even had time to mourn her loss, when August sprung going to Paris on her.

“Huh?” Elizabeth laughs. “It’s okay. I don’t really have any plans other than showering and reading a chapter or two from my book.” “Are there zombies in your book?” Edward’s eyes widen. “Actually, yes.” Elizabeth fills her plate and joins us at the table. “It’s a romance set in the zombie apocalypse. It’s really good.” “Can you read it to me?” “When you’re older.” She smiles and then digs into her food. We eat in silence, and I’m a little jealous of the innocent way Edward is completely oblivious to how fucking awkward things are right now.

Instead of going to her room, she went to Anita. Anita was sitting by the fireplace, she had a cup of coffee in her hand and a book in the other. When she noticed Elizabeth standing in front of her, she closed her book and dropped it on the table beside her. " Hey", Elizabeth greeted, she sat beside Anita enjoying the warmth the fire was giving out. " Here", Anita handed her a cup of coffee.
