"Almost didn't recognise you without the weights and daggers." Elizabeth merely raised an eyebrow, neither accepting the compliment nor rejecting it outright. "This way," she said, turning to lead them through a series of corridors that seemed designed to confuse visitors. “Oh thank you, would you like to come in?“ I asked, knowing Markel, he would probably just want to stay out or something but he actually surprised me by saying yes. I smiled and got down from the car, adjusting my Jean jacket properly and pushed the iron bars of the gates aside. I imagine the room we are going into will be the largest because it would be the room company would come into. At least, in the houses I’ve stepped into, that is the way the layout has been.” Elizabeth stared into the cool darkness beyond the open doorway and tried not to hyperventilate. She told herself it was no different than entering a cave, or even going underground. There were no lights on. It was dark inside and she could feel the cool air coming out of the interior.

She turned to the guards and commanded, “Gentlemen, prepare the royal carriage.” The guards around us bowed and quickly moved, only to be stopped by Gonzalo. “You dare to disobey my command?” Elizabeth snarled as she turned to every guard in the room. “Your Grace, going to the Crystal Palace is just a waste of time,” Gonzalo repeated as he stepped towards us. “The elders will not allow us to enter the hall. Also, His Majesty will only disagree–”

Elizabeth said as she turned to the people still gathered in the hallway. “There is nothing to see here, continue with your business,” she commanded them. They all quickly disbursed from the area leaving me with both her and Carter. “Okay, let’s move into Eric’s room. We can discuss what you need to do,” Elizabeth suggested as Carter held the door for us both.

Elizabeth walked forward and finally stopped at the door of Room 999. She double-confirmed the number on the room card. She was at the right place. Reaching out her hand, she swiped the card on the sensing lock. With a click, the door opened. The light in the room was dim, and what entered her sight was a screen with a picture of a lady. The interior was decorated in an antique manner. Elizabeth slowed down as she walked into the room. The door automatically closed behind her. After coming round the screen, before she could clearly see the scene in front of her, she was pulled over by someone. While her mind was in a state of chaos, she fell heavily into a large carved wooden bed.

It was the perfect camouflage. In three strides, he was at the front door. Elbert rang the bell three consecutive times before the door opened.
