She grinned at her and shooed a chicken away who was trying to peck the footrest of Suki's buggy. Ellie's phone began to chime. "Oh, that's Jasper," she said, answering the phone. "I'm at the children's farm, and guess who else is here too, Kylie and Suki. And your chickens are very badly behaved; they keep trying to eat Suki's buggy." Ellie listened. "Ok, I won't be too long." She put her phone back in her pocket. "He says he'll have the chicken for his dinner, and I have to meet him at the main entrance." She stood up, "It's been lovely to see you, and please think about what I said, Richie, really likes you, that much was obvious when you were at the house, and half of the people he knows

We walked out of the living room, passed the gymnasium, and we ended up outside where there was a huge pool with a bar waiting for us. We jumped in the water, played volleyball, and after that we drank cocktail at the bar. I learned that Ellie was Rodrigo's little sister. She was twenty three years old and she was a writer and a model. Ellie was outgoing and loud, the type of friend you had to warn first before you introduce her to other people.

Cesar closed his eyes and within moments he was asleep. Ellie slipped out of bed and tiptoed to the bathroom, shut the door and locked it. She walked over to the cabinet, opened it and took out the package in the bag and closed the door. She bit her lip as she stared at the package then quickly took it out of the bag, read the instructions and she did exactly that then put the stick on a flat surface and waited after she set her timer. Five minutes later she got up from the toilet seat and picked up the stick and what she saw made her squeal and dance.

She asks, "Why?" "I'm trying to poison someone." Jaden lifts his hands up and claps. "Go Ellie. Go Ellie. Go Ellie." I laugh as Anna yells him to hush. "Are you serious, Ellie?" "Just trying to crack your ribs. But I'll tell you about it in the long run." "I'll love to eat your desserts, Ellie. Mind?" Jaden says. "I'll send you both a special delivery." "Mammoth size, okay?" "Coming right at you!"

Then she added softly, “Look. As long as he’s treating you right… But seriously, Catherine. If he ever thinks of laying his hands on you, I’ll rain fire and brimstone on his ass.” I smiled. “I know you will but I’m fine.” Stacey studied me for a long moment before finally nodding, though I could tell she didn’t believe me. The door swung open, and Ellie came back juggling an armful of snacks. She dumped them on the table with a grin. “Ta-da! Sugar heaven. Don’t tell the doctor.” I raised a brow. “You know I’m not supposed to have this much sugar in my system. Now that you’re here, maybe you should get a checkup too. Just say hi to the doctor while you’re at it.”

I had no idea how much longer we could blow off Katrina before she was going to demand answers. We had stayed at the packhouse during those couple of days, and Ellie just loved meeting all the different creatures. She even befriended a demon named Susie, who was about her age. It was pretty odd to see but I wanted her to know and understand all the different creatures we had to share this world with. She’d been sheltered for far too long.

I think she just wants to have an excuse to use her husband's jet to fly off to Paris on a regular basis and spend lots of money on all those fancy clothes. Ellie is my best friend full stop. Period. I continue my walk, bored, sighing dramatically while kicking little pebbles out of my way with the tips of my bare toes. But a crunching sound catches my attention, and I look up, finding Ella holding a long stick. She tosses it into a pile and moves onto the next, her cheeks pink with exertion. “Ella,” I say, her name cracking over my tongue. I clear my throat, half expecting her to startle and run away like she’s been doing lately, but she simply tosses another stick into the pile. “What are you up to?” “Cleaning up from the storm last night,” she sighs, bending at the waist to gather smaller sticks into her hands.
