"I know." That response hurt worse somehow. Layla stared at him quietly. God. He really did know he was broken and maybe that was the saddest part. Nadia stirred awake slowly from the couch at the sound of voices. "What's happening?" Nobody answered immediately. Her sleepy eyes landed on Elias. Then the television headline still frozen silently across the screen. SERENA VALE FOUND DEAD. Nadia's expression changed instantly. "Oh my God..." Elias looked away from the television immediately like even seeing it irritated him.

My brain immediately jumped into panic mode, had something gone wrong with the show? I swiped to answer. "Hello?" "Good morning, Darla," was the deep, familiar voice. "Sorry to call so early." "It's alright, Director," I said, plunking myself down on the bed. "How are you?" "I'm well," he answered, his tone more subdued than usual. "But I'm calling about something else." My eyebrows furrowed. "Something else?" He breathed heavily. "Yes. Something regarding Elise." The instant he said her name, my heart tightened. Elise, the woman who had died abruptly a few days before. Her death had caught everyone on set by surprise.

You damn, knife-wielding b*stard, I will kill you! Her hoarse cries echoed throughout the villa's living room. "You're so desperate... want to die?" Seeing this, Liam lowered his head and looked at Elsa below. "I..." Upon hearing Liam's words, Elsa trembled, suddenly snapping back to her senses. Although Michael's death left her heartbroken, Elsa was not ready to die—she had not lived enough yet! She could not possibly want to die! Elsa immediately stopped in her tracks. "Don't kill me! Don't kill me! I don't want to die! My son is dead! That's enough! I don't want to die! Don't kill me!"

Carol hiccuped. "Then?" I arched my eyebrows and started rubbing her back as she was still in my embrace. "As I'm pregnant, Aiden and Bryan forced me to go back home. Although I wanted to stay there, they sent me home. And..." she paused for a sob and hiccuped. "In the morning, Arleen informed me that Elsa has been passed away," Her crying became louder. I closed my already vapoured eyes. It's very hard to digest. "Where is her body?" I hardly asked.

Sleepiness vanished from her eyes and she was confused. 'Wait! Did you just say that...Fernanda is dead?' Elise stuttered. 'Yes, I'm sorry,' The phone slipped from Elise's hand and her breath shuddered. She found it difficult to breathe for a second. "No, she can't be dead," Elise gasped, shaking her head in denial. "I saw her yesterday and I called her this morning," Tears welled in Elise's eyes. "No, this can't be happening," Elise cried, her chest suddenly hurting. "Fernanda can't be dead. This has to be a prank or some stupid joke,"

Elsa said and before Ella could speak she zoomed off with her wolf speed. "Elsa is changing, what's going on?" Ella whispered. Elsa arrived at Devina's home and she was invited in. "You arrived late." Devina said. "Yeah. I was at the middle of something when called." Elsa said. "Are you alright?" "Yeah, Am fine, Perfectly fine." "I saw something, John didn't just died, Tara was told me that the nurses had contacted Maggie that John was fine but getting there, he was unstable and died." Devina said.

After that, Xavier cut ties with his family completely. A few days later, Maisie suddenly jumped to her death. My mom lowered her voice and said, "The day Mrs. Sullivan killed herself, I saw Elsa at the Sullivan residence. It didn't sit right with me, so I recorded a video." I immediately asked her to send it to me. In the video, Elsa tried to appear calm as she left. However, her legs were trembling the whole time—something was definitely off. Goosebumps broke out across my arms. At the same time, I suddenly got a series of messages from Elsa on my old phone number.

Trista felt her heart jump into her throat, her thoughts a tangled mess of static. She held her breath, looking up at Elias with a trembling gaze. "How... how exactly did he die?" Elias dropped to a crouch so he was eye-level with her. "Shortly after Vincent was admitted to the ward, Alpha Cassian and Alpha Alistair both went in to 'visit' him. About thirty minutes after they left together, the medical center announced his condition had 'deteriorated.' He was pronounced dead shortly after." Trista looked down immediately, trying to hide the panic and fear in her eyes.

Across from them, Grayson watched quietly. One hand resting on Alvara. The other on Elysia. His entire world beneath his touch. Outside, evening settled over the estate. Golden. Peaceful. Safe. Life had moved forward. The trials had ended. The Vale empire had become little more than a cautionary tale in business journals. Eliora Aster had been found dead in her prison cell the previous year. No official cause had ever been released. For months the media speculated. Then eventually the world moved on. Alvara had moved on long before that.
