I rubbed my eyelids to have a clear vision. My gaze flickered towards the windows and I realized that it was dawn. If you ask me, dawn came to quickly and it seemed like I haven’t slept at all. The alarm beeped with the red light displaying 8:00 am. The bed space was empty which only means one thing—Riley didn’t come home last night again.

Saturday Morning The first light of dawn crept through the flimsy curtains of Kayla’s small dorm room, painting the walls with a soft, ethereal glow. Eden had one last dinner meeting to attend with a client. When Danica opened her eyes to the sunlight streaming in through the opened window, she sighed, feeling the usual cramps from every other day. She glanced at the bedside where Evelyn already had her breakfast laid out neatly.
