She started playing with the edge of her dress as if she were embarrassed, maybe uncomfortable. “How old are you?” I ask. Damn, the goddess and her choices. “Blasphemy!” my wolf cautioned yet again in my head. I ignored his comment. “And your surname?” I continued. “Watson. Emily Watson” . Her voice trembled as she spoke each syllable. Her plate was almost the same, the food barely touched. Her eyes were glued on it in an attempt to ignore my presence. I decided to cut to the chase so I would stop making her more uncomfortable.
