Lottie’s POV Maddox gives me an enormous hug when I walk outside. “Ready?” he asks. “Physically yes, emotionally no.” I tell him honestly while looking at my mom through the window. “She will be okay, we can visit.” he says, reassuring me. “Ember, how does this gift work?” I asked her. “I am not telling you unless you promise I will get to meet Xavier later,” she responds. I obviously annoyed her, seeing that I am not letting her meet up with Xavier again for their official mating. “That’s blackmail.”

I heaved a sigh of relief, as Xavier stammered with his words. "What recordings?" "I own the villa, I have the entire place wired and bugged. If I can't get tapes, recordings will do just fine." Emmette said and now, Xavier was in full panic. I found myself holding my breath once again. Emmette exerting dominance made my chest rise and my stomach bubble.

Rademos puts on his suit in a rush. He sat on his bed, laced his shoes, got up, and stared in front of the mirror. He knotted his black tie, after which he stared at his hands, and his eidetic memory forced an image of him pushing Andis off him earlier into his mind. He suppressed the rest of the flashback. He stared at his reflection again, only this time, he took a while to appreciate his appearance.

The large lonely mansion which oozed nothing but affluence did not only house these money making halls but also had rooms above which caged workers who made this money and the bosses who ruled over them. The workers were members of X-habit, a crime conglomerate whose activities were no lesser than running guns, doing drugs and the like. The Big Four: Steven Chase, Baron Sage, Iphan Carter and Kane Richmond bossed over the conglomerate, with Steven as the head, more of a Godfather.

It never crossed my mind. I remembered Hazel's words that night before Emmett reluctantly left us as per my mother's request. Emmett was a vampire prince of the Moargoux clan of the North, owning half of the country's e-commerce business. He was in search of his beloved for so many years that he had traveled to almost all places on the planet. "They need to accept that they have to share a mate." Riabhel groaned. She came back yesterday after I revealed to her what happened, leaving Tanner behind. "My brother's hurting."

"Lucus..." Lucus dad calls out as soon as he arrives, his voice a little hoarse, maybe from his worsening condition or maybe from fatigue; Emma isn't too sure. Damon Madden used to be a very charismatic man back when he was the CEO of Madden, Inc. Emma had the privilege to work with him before her marriage; both he and Alex met with her and discussed many things.

I gave him a soft smile before looking down. "Can we just eat and leave now" Emma sighs at Rex and everyone starts eating. "You got stuck in traffic?" Theo nodded. I figured he was the quiet type. He was very muscular. More than Alex and Rex. A very visible tattoo ran from his neck and disappeared in his shirt but I saw its end at his forearm when he folded his sleeves back. He had jet black hair, I saw his black eyes when he nodded at me. "I hope you guys don't give her a hard time." she smiled.

Roman Reigns, that is who he reminds me of. Grayson has to be at least thirty, I think? Either way, it is something nice to look at while living here. My eyes go to Emmet. He has short hair and slight stubble. He isn’t big, but clearly works out just not to the extreme that Grayson does. I look at him, considering who he looks most like. Chace Crawford, that is who he reminds me of, and he has to be about twenty-seven maybe?

The door shut behind her and I smoked my cigarette, lost in thought. I wasn’t ready to talk to Emmet yet. I had visited the confinement centre earlier, but I didn’t go into his cell. He had been sitting on the bed, hands cupped behind his head, unmoving. But I wasn’t ready… not yet… I needed to calm down first. I had spoken to Jax last night, and it was fucking obvious he hadn't even realised when the drug had taken effect. Only Emmet would have the answer to what his aim was…
