To my surprise, there's a new one. Sent a few minutes ago at midnight. It has bold letters that read "The Red Revel." I wish I could click on it. The preview reads: "Who dare seek entrance must provide testimony." "What's the Red Revel?" Liam quickly comes over and stands behind me. "Is it really almost Saturday?" "No, it just became Sunday Liam." I turn and say. He rolls his eyes. "I mean next Saturday. The Red Revel is always held on the first Saturday of December."

When the last Stardust Bloom was in its box, I took out my phone and opened the calendar. On the date I had marked countless times for the "Rite of the Moon Spring," I drew a heavy, red X. The countdown: twelve days.

I wanted to start the ceremony this week and that’s what got me in deep thought as I watched the two eat with light conversations in between bites. “Are you okay?” My husband asked as he offered me some of his cheesy bacon fries. “I’m good.” I smiled with a shake of my head before looking at Hades. “I actually have everything and Camael will be here on the 15th, four days from now and exactly the end of the third week.” Hades hummed at that and drank some water. “That’s good. I have checked and the auroras are showing up early. We are in a great timeline.”

My phone buzzes at the first red light. A calendar invite from Patricia Sinclair: Christmas Dinner - December 25th - 6 PM | Attendees: Elena, Ava, Adrian Kane I stare at it for a long moment. Not approval. Not yet. But a chance. And maybe that's all I deserve to ask for.
