Chapter 5 VINCENZO POV Watching the emotions play on her face felt like watching a soap opera. The face contorted with defeat and surrender, but her eyes sparkled with rebellion. I also smiled to see him chuckle out for the first time before my eyes. He was never like that before because he always kept his emotions to himself. Whether he's feeling upset, sad, angry, or whatever, he rarely shows it in front of me. He prefers to just leave when the emotion is over him, then come back when the emotion is not over his body. So it's natural that right now I'm quite stunned by his weirdness.
