"Separation of identities? She's not possessed is she? Because sometimes it feels like she is. Please don't laugh at me." The doctor shook her head seriously. "She's not possessed. This type of disorder has nothing to do with religion, faith, drugs, or even medical conditions like cancer. She's experiencing two separate identities. It could be more. Some cases reported showed up to one hundred. But right now the only identities we've uncovered are two, Blaze and Uno." I didn't know what to say. I sat there trying to process the information. Blaze and Uno? How could a person have separate identities within her? Was that the reason for her hot and cold behavior?

Another thought crosses her mind as curiosity hits her and where she asks, yet rather confirming. “As you said it, inside that vessel, there are three identities. One of which is the original, while the other is the hell herself, as I wanted to ask, who is the Alliah we know and the one who is the most important friend of the Maiden?” Loving how smart she is and how her mind works at a fast pace, yet still have that lingering curiosity of dread in between. “Two identities… for years.” Reef whistled low. “That explains the perfect mask. They could move between roles without raising suspicion. One identity rests while the other works. Or covers tracks.” I looked up at Jordan slowly, realization hitting hard. “Someone inside the packhouse has been living under two identities for years. The Keeper didn’t just hide. They duplicated themselves.” Jordan’s voice was barely a whisper. “All those memories… the comforting hands, the familiar faces… one person wearing different masks the whole time?”

"I don't think so. I just need you both to actually listen, all the way through, before either of you says anything." They exchanged a glance, that old twin language I'd grown so used to reading, and nodded in unison. "I spent five years," I began slowly, "building an entire identity around a single story. The girl who survived. The girl whose savior would someday come find her and make all of it make sense. I didn't realize how small that story actually was until I met both of you and watched it explode into something far bigger, far messier, and considerably more honest than anything I'd ever let myself imagine."

"Naturally. Your design impressed me. I'd like us to work together long-term. Oh, and as compensation, I'll add an extra five percent to your payment this time." My eyes widened. Five percent? On a deal this size, that was massive! After hanging up, I turned to Nathaniel, confused. "Nathaniel… What just happened? Don't tell me..." He rubbed the back of his neck, looking embarrassed. "Actually… I'm the Alpha heir of this pack. I didn't say anything before because I didn't want my identity to give me special treatment. I wanted to earn recognition by myself. “There were threats. Real ones.
