"Just gonna ice up and head home."
Zichen gave a small nod. "See you Monday, Captain."
"Don't be late."
He smirked. "Wouldn't dare."
The door shut behind him, leaving me alone.
I sat there for a moment longer, staring at my locker-my name stenciled in bold black letters, the captain's patch hanging from the hook beside it. The adrenaline was wearing off now, replaced by that deep, bone-heavy exhaustion.
I stood, grabbed my bag, and made my way toward the ice baths. The water was brutal, biting into my muscles, but I welcomed it.
