Damon stared at our clasped hands and completely broke down. "Elena... Please..." He collapsed to the ground. "Give me a chance, just one..." "There are no more chances." I looked at him one final time. "Damon, let yourself go, and let me go too." With that, Kane and I left the garden together. Damon's desperate sobs echoed behind us, but I didn't look back.
