The man beside him gave a small, almost apologetic shrug, though he didn’t seem too concerned by the situation. “This is Dorian,” Eric said, his voice quieter now. “He’s a, he’s an Alpha from Clawshade.” I blinked. Clawshade…..I see…what’s happening here. But then, my mind started to piece everything together. The way they looked at each other, the way Eric had been so tense whenever I asked him about his personal life or relationship. This was a forbidden relationship. I swallowed, the taste of my words bitter on my tongue. “Is this… is this what I think it is?”

“What are you doing here?” Eric stepped down off the last stair and walked up to me with his hands in his pockets. There was a casual air about him as he approached me, and yet my heart was pounding in my chest. “Miss me?” he asked. I opened my mouth to respond, but before any words could come, Emma’s sharp voice sliced through the air. “Eric Griffith?” she called out. “As in… the Alpha’s son from New Moon?” “In the flesh,” Eric said, sweeping his blue-eyed gaze across the cheerleader. “Future warrior king, too. Don’t forget that part.”

I pushed her away from me and she stumbled back . Before she could fall, her son, Eric, was quick to hold her up . He glared up at me, too scared to mutter a word . His brows quivered in hesitation . He revolted, taking his mother out of the dungeon. Runaway scared crow…. I mocked . He was weak, too weak to handle the pack. I thought Raven was a woman and didn’t have what it takes . However, Eric was a weakling. He was a man. He had gamma blood running through his veins yet he wasn’t strong enough.

"We are the only ones who can." I flinched back, my heart thumping. "This is not rescuing me, Eric. This is—something else. "This is not love!" His expression wrenched, and anguish flashed over his features. For a brief time, I glimpsed the real Eric buried behind the layers of darkness. But suddenly it vanished, replaced by frigid determination. "If you won't come willingly," he added, his voice lowering to a deadly whisper, "then I'll make you." The air surrounding him surged, sending black energy rippling outward. Darius leaped without hesitation into his wolf form. His claws ripped through the air, but Eric caught him easily and threw him away like a rag doll.

“You always were too protective, Damian. Always thinking you could shield her from everything. But this is your mess. You’re the one who couldn’t protect your empire. And now you’ll lose everything, including her.” I can’t keep the panic from rising in my chest. What is Eric planning? What has he done? “I’m not afraid of you, Eric,” I say, my voice shaky but defiant. “Damian and I—we’re stronger than you think.” Damian squeezes my hand, his eyes meeting mine. “We’ll survive this. I won’t let him destroy us.”

Someone reached out to take Erika instead and when Ross looked up at the person, he was surprised. "And you are?" He asked. "Oh, sorry for not introducing myself. I am Eric, the Beta to the Moon forest Den pack Alphas." Eric made sure to make a full introduction and Ross raised a brow. "Oh, alright." He said, flashing him a small smile. Eric returned the smile despite the awkward air. "Thank you for taking care of her, I'll take her home now" Eric added and then lifted her bridal style before walking out of the club. Ross watched them as they left and he couldn't deny the malice he suddenly felt towards Eric from just the way he lifted Erika from the seat.

Eric chuckled in a dangerous tone that scared Emma. He then tightened his hold on her arm before he pushed her up to stand on her feet leaving Damien unconscious on the floor. "No! Leave me! Damien needs medical help.please!" Emma struggled to get out of Eric's hold but couldn't as he was obviously much more stronger than her. Emma couldn't see any other thing apart from her teary eyes not leaving Damien's side. Eric began to drag her forcefully while she tried using her other hand to try to pull him large hand from her arm.

Both Eric and Derek switched on their laptops, and after it fully switched on, they started their research about Xavier's true identity. About 5 to 10 minutes later, Eric was the first to exclaim, since he found out much information about Xavier. In fact, he cleaned his eyes because he actually thought he was hallucinating. Derek saw the way Eric was overreacting, so he asked, “What is it, big twin? What did you see?”. “I saw lots of things”. Eric replied, but his reply wasn't clear or understanding to Derek. “What is that supposed to mean?”. Derek raised both of his eyebrows at Eric when he questioned.

**** Marissa was staring at herself. The woman smiled at her before she started speaking. “ Hello Marissa, my name is Erin”. Marissa stared at the woman that called herself Erin in a dazed. She remembered that the daughter of the gods that was given to Dimitri as his wife was named Erin and that she was her reincarnation but she didn't know that they were practically the same person. Erin's green eyes glowed and she had an air of authority and power around her. Marissa shook her head as she came out of her dazed state.
