She hums a tune, mixing herbs at the same time shes reading a book.
“Eira dear,” she says without looking.
Plopping down on th bed, I reply. “Hi, Esme. Good morning.”
She turns to me. “I did some research, and I met with Gratis, an old friend.”
“Gratis?” I frown. “Soulless eyes, and a rude tongue?”
A smile spreads across her face. “The one and only.”
“He’s not very nice.”
“Hm.” She hums. “At least he’s nicer than his brother, Gaza. You know what you get with him, compared to his brother.”
