Ethan Winters Face Novels & Stories

When he doesn’t, she climbs into my lap and stays there longer than usual. By late morning I turn on the small television in the kitchen while the twins play on the rug. Not long later a business segment comes on and I almost change the channel until I hear Ethan’s name. The screen shows him outside a glass building, shaking hands with two men in suits, with a woman standing close beside him. When the handshake ends, she steps in and he puts an arm around her back for the photo both of them smiling for the cameras. All of a sudden I feel anger moving through my chest.

“Leah, it’s Ethan. Lock your doors and stay away from the windows. You’re about to have visitors you didn’t invite.” Leah’s voice was sharp with confusion. “What are you talking about? I just got a knock on the—” A muffled, distant voice interrupted her through the call: “Miss Winters? We need you to come with us, ma’am. It’s about your employer.” Ethan’s blood ran cold. “Leah, do not open that door!” The elevator ride down from his penthouse felt like an eternity. Ethan’s Aston Martin roared to life the moment he slid into the driver’s seat, tearing through the city streets toward Westpoint Towers.

“You were… the only person I could think of.” Her throat tightened painfully. “Who’s after you, Ethan? Tell me.” But his eyes slipped closed again, his chest rising unevenly. “Ethan!” she whispered fiercely, giving his shoulder a small shake. He stirred, his words low and broken. “Not safe… not safe for anyone. Wolves… wearing men’s faces.” Aria froze, his cryptic phrase sinking like ice into her stomach. Wolves wearing men’s faces. What the hell did that mean? “Ethan, stop talking in riddles,” she pleaded. “Just tell me who hurt you.”

It was Ethan talking, well, I didn't want to hear more, as I knew he would just do anything to make Damian look bad. “Even his employees went against him,” Ava cried. “We believe in justice and request that Mr. Winters, no matter how much it’s hurting us, must be punished for his crimes,” Ethan said. I couldn’t take it anymore; I needed to face him; I needed to make him confess; I couldn’t just watch him lie against Damian like that, so I snatched Ava’s phone, then ran towards my car and instructed my driver to drive straight to The Winters Enterprise.

Victoria crossed to answer it, and I had exactly two seconds to compose my face before she reappeared with Ethan Reeves framed in the doorway, camera bag slung over one shoulder, dark coat open over a navy henley, hair slightly damp like he’d showered in a hurry. He looked good. Annoyingly good. And for one stupid, disloyal second all I could think was Tommy never looked nervous before anything. Ethan does. “Hi,” Ethan said. “Hi.” Victoria beamed at him like she’d been waiting her whole life to meet a polite young man with a camera. “Ethan, right? Sloane’s photographer.” His mouth twitched. “That makes me sound much more glamorous than I am.” Dad came around the island and shook his hand. “R

I was studying him, challenging him, trying to see past the walls he'd built around himself. I wasn't the same woman I was five years ago. I wouldn't be defeated by a little difficulty, wouldn't retreat at the first sign of rejection. Those days were behind me. I wanted to see just how cruelly this man could treat me before his mask cracked. "What are you waiting for?" Alexander growled, clearly addressing Ethan. Ethan looked thoroughly uncomfortable, caught between his Alpha's command and his own reluctance. "I'm sorry, Miss Winters," he said, reaching for my arm to guide me away.

After that day, Ethan never came to see me again. Online, however, the discussion about the exhibition only grew louder. Some people called him a douchebag. Others painted me as the manipulative ex, scheming in the shadows to ruin his future. Jane, meanwhile, posted several times in a row, playing the victim. She shared photos of herself taking care of Ethan in the mountains, captioned: [Only those who’ve faced life and death together understand that some companionship is the salvation of the soul. As for those who only want to enjoy the fruits of others’ labor, I don’t blame you.]

He eventually let his hand fall. "I've caught you." The wind swept away the tent. In that eternal winter, the tyrant's nightmare finally ended.

We pulled away, having had multiple conversations about not making out for too long in front of our entire family and seemed to share the same look, a mixture of love and a hint of lust. "I am honored to present for the first time Mrs. and Mrs. Winters." Charles called out as everyone burst out into applause

This was their secret life. Just the two of them. “The white night has finally ended. It has lasted a few months, and now the night has come back. The familiar winter will arrive soon…” The summer they thought would last forever finally ended. It was over. And now, the familiar cruel winter was coming for them again.
