DIMITRI & KIRA Dimitri came back very late that night, and by that time, Kira was asleep. He reeked of wine, whiskey and drugs but not of women. He took a quick shower and as he stepped out in his towel, he noticed Kira’s laptop on the bed. The screen was on and he saw that she was researching the Whitakers. Again! He felt angry at her, why could she not leave them be… but as his eyes fell on her beautiful, peaceful face, his anger eroded. Somehow he understood why she cannot let them be! She was curious about her heritage and it was quite understandable.

“Long time, no see, Ethan. It’s a pleasure to see you. When last did I see you again? Surely you were eighteen and blew away my ship, right?” What is happening? Dimitri really knows Ethan. “Blowing away your ship is one of the least I did, don't you remember?” Ethan taunted,his gaze arrogant and daring. I stared at Ethan, surprised that he admitted to blowing up Dimitri's ship. I felt like screaming; surely this is a bad dream—one I must wake up from! Dimitri glances at me with an amused look on his face. “Your woman has a shocked look on her face. It only means one thing: she doesn't know about your other ‘business’. When did you become a coward?”

He managed to find his voice, saying, "Mr. Blackwood, I've heard a lot about this young man, Ethan Vale. I know only someone of your stature could guide such an excellent young man." Damien snapped out of his thoughts and finally noticed Dimitri standing there. He stared at him coldly. Feeling incredibly nervous under the intense gaze, Dimitri stammered, "Are you angry, sir? I didn't mean to offend you..." Ethan and Anastasia stopped talking when they noticed Dimitri acting strange. Seeing the harsh way Damien was looking at the older man, Ethan gently nudged Damien's side. Damien's eyes immediately softened as he looked down at Ethan, wondering why he had been nudged.

Winter pointed into the house. "Ooh, he's Rivera, Mom. My friend," Dimitri replied and smiled. Suddenly, Mrs. Winter clutched her chest "Dimitri. You're lying, and I'm sure it's Alana." Tsk "He's Rivera, not Alana," concluded Dimitri. As Rivera said earlier, there's no need to hide his identity. Mrs. Winter sat in a chair on the porch, still digesting Dimitri's words. It doesn't seem possible that it was Alana because they also witnessed her funeral then, but why is it the same?

“You can call me Gavril. Gavrill Hawthorne.” “Hawthorne? I thought Nolan's last name was Smith?” “He took his mom’s last name.” I nodded my head in realisation. I didn’t even know that. “My name is Winter. Winter Cooper.” He nodded. “You want some bread” he offered. I took the bread and bolted to my room to video-call my best friend, Sicily, to inform her about what had happened. My suitcase lay on my bed as I had begun to repack to go back home.

An unknown voice made my gaze move back from Chris. "Chase" The man introduced himself. He was above average looking. "Skylar " I offered my hand and he kissed it. Nothing happened. There were zero sparks. Chase put his hand on the small of my back and we headed to the dance floor. We danced for some minute, with casual chatting. His touch did not even affect me or was I so stupid to not feel anything? I wondered. "Mind if I cut in ?" Ethan came from nowhere and asked Chase politely to get lost.

“I know you have it hard. Keep the money and see it as my investment in you. Stop thinking about this when you’re abroad. The most important thing you need to do is study well.” Jane Smith, Alex’s wife, made food for me and cleaned up a guest room for me to stay in. It made me tear up. “Thank you, Mr. and Mrs. Smith.” Alex patted my shoulders. “You’re welcome. I’ll be honored when you become successful. Let’s have a drink since you’re leaving tomorrow.” Alex wanted to have a drink with me, but Jane scolded him for ignoring my prospects. “Having wine will cause trouble!” They started bickering over me. But I found it touching instead of annoying.

DIEGO “You know I do,” Diego replied, his voice dropping into that familiar, quiet intensity. He locked eyes with Ethan, stripping away the defensive layers so his friend could witness the unvarnished truth. “Isn’t it glaringly obvious? My soul hasn't been on the ice since Kol and I became an item—not in any way that counts.” He shook his head, a look of genuine disbelief crossing his face. “There was a time when the Austin Ice Arena was the boundary of my entire universe. But he pulled back the curtain; he proved to me that the world is infinitely larger than a rink.”
