Running out of the conference room, I saw Ethan approaching with Rachael behind him and I quickly ran to his embrace, Hugging him tightly with a teary eyes. Ethan pulled me out of his embrace and strode down to the conference room. He had seen Harrison from the camera installed in his office. I could see anger in Ethan’s eyes as he opened the room to meet Harrison. I followed Ethan, trying to stop any further altercation between him and Harrison. But he was Ethan Blackwood, one with a reputation for being ruthless.

The house lights spilled down the hill, but he was standing in shadow, his expression unreadable. Ethan parked and Elena reached for the door handle but Ethan was already getting out, already walking around the front of the car toward where Dr. Alex stood. “Dr. Hale?” Ethan extended his hand, his golden boy smile back in place. “I’m Ethan Cross. It’s nice to finally meet you. Elena’s told me so much about…” Dr. Alex’s hand shot out and gripped Ethan’s in a handshake that made Ethan’s smile falter. His fingers went white from the pressure. Dr. Alex held it for three seconds too long, his eyes locked on Ethan’s face, before releasing him.

"Well, I think it's a little late for that, Dad. Ethan's pretty special, like I said. We spend a lot of time together. He really listens to me and I feel truly...happy with him. He understands me." Dad got quiet for a minute. I think he was shocked to hear me talk about a man like I really cared. And I shouldn't have been too surprised either. Ethan was the first in a long line of firsts with me. "What is this Ethan's last name and what does he do for a living?" "Blackstone. He's thirty-two and he owns a private security company. He's so paranoid he has me assigned to a driver so I won't take the Tube to get around.

Ethan asks, taking a step closer to me. "No, I..." My lips tremble as I try to form words, but I am getting intoxicated by Ethan's rich coffee scent. Nearing me, he grabs my arms and throws me on the bed. I sat on one of the coach facing the stairs and crossed my legs leaning back with the papers far ahead on the center table. Some few minutes later Ethan emerged from the stairs , he walked slowly and gracefully , it tugged at my heart. He looked so pale and tired. He was wearing black sweatpants and white turtle neck sweater. He's lips was blue but still kissable. He was sick. He looked so tired, I felt bad for dragging my ass here to disturb him. It made me more concerned. I tried not to show, He's going to land me a nasty comment anyway. "Afternoon Mr Ethan," I stood up to great him . he nodded.

A tall guy stepped in, dark hair, sharp jaw, confident posture, and stopped short when he saw Elias. “Oh shit, sorry,” the guy said, raising both hands. “Didn’t mean to scare you. I thought the room was empty.” Elias steadied himself against the wall, heart still racing from the surprise. “It’s fine. I was just heading out.” The guy smiled, a little sheepish but warm. “I’m Ethan. Ethan Voss. New here. Just transferred in for figure skating training.” Elias blinked, recognition clicking slowly. “Vera mentioned you. I’m Elias. Elias Noir.”
